    • Taking seat Friday
Freeman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Freeman is hitting .194 through nine games in June and will sit Friday after starting the previous five games. Daniel Schneemann will start in center field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:39 pm

    • Swats clutch homer
Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Rodriguez was hitless in his first three at-bats but came up big in his fourth trip to the plate, smashing a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning. The long ball was just his second across 17 contests since he went deep in back-to-back games May 25-26. Rodriguez has 16 thefts this season but has been fairly disappointing otherwise with just six homers, 26 RBI, 34 runs and a .268/.317/.354 slash line through 300 plate appearances. • J-Rod hits game-tying homer in ninth vs. White Sox
Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning against the White Sox, but the Mariners fell to Chicago in extra-innings.

Advice: With the Mariners trailing 2-1, J-Rod obliterated a Michael Kopech fastball to right-center field that tied the game at 2-2. The outfielder now has six homers on the season; a disappointing total for a player who many (justifiably) thought would be among the league leaders in 2024. Anyone who saw his swing tonight knows that he’s capable of — and likely going to — doing much more going forward. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:23 pm

    • Goes deep Wednesday
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs in a 10-4 victory versus Miami on Wednesday.

Advice: Lindor opened the bottom of the first inning with a double and subsequently scored on Harrison Bader's home run. The shortstop hit a long ball of his own in the eighth frame, going 414 feet to center field. Lindor has disappointed a bit this season after notching his first 30-30 campaign last year, though with 11 homers and nine steals he's one theft away from reaching double digits in both categories -- something only seven MLB players have done so far this season. • Homers again Wednesday
McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in a 17-9 loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: McMahon cut the Rockies' deficit to 5-2 in the fourth inning with a 427-foot blast off Pablo Lopez, his 12th homer of the year. The 29-year-old McMahon looks to have broken out of a prolonged slump -- he's gone 4-for-7 with two doubles and two home runs in his last two games after struggling to a .115 average (7-for-61) in his previous 17 contests. Overall, McMahon's now slashing .267/.350/.462 with 36 RBI and 35 runs scored across 288 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:43 pm

    • Ryan McMahon homers in second straight contest
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: McMahon has snapped out of an extended tailspin at the dish with homers in back-to-back contests after taking Twins ace Pablo López deep in the fourth inning of this one for his 12th round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old infielder has been a reliable power source, but his batting average has been all over the place as he oscillates between hot and cold stretches. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:05 pm

    • Elias Díaz remains out of the lineup on Wednesday
Elias Díaz (calf) remains out of the Rockies’ lineup on Wednesday against the Twins.

Advice: Díaz felt calf tightness in Monday’s game and didn’t play on Tuesday. As of now, there is no indication that the Rockies will put him on the IL, but Jacob Stallings will start again on Wednesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:25 am

    • Goes deep again Tuesday
Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's 15-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Hernandez's lone hit of the night was a big blast in the sixth, an inning during which the Dodgers scored seven runs on four homers. He now has five long balls and 12 RBI over his last five games and has totaled 10 hits over that span, raising his slash line to .266/336/.525 with 17 homers, 50 RBI, 40 runs scored and a 24:81 BB:K in 286 plate appearances. • Remains out Wednesday
Diaz (calf) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Minnesota.

Advice: As expected, Diaz will get another day to rest his left calf injury. The hope is that he will be ready to play Friday in Denver versus the Pirates following the Rockies' off day Thursday, but his availability for the weekend isn't guaranteed. Jacob Stallings will start at catcher Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:03 am
