    • Candelario cracks seventh home run Monday
      Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Rockies on Monday.

      Candelario went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Candelario belted a two-run shot in the third inning before adding a double and another run in the fifth. After an 11-game homerless drought in the middle of May, he's knocked three home runs over his last 11 contests. During that span, he's boosted his season OPS from .663 to .739 through 214 total plate appearances.       Anthony Santander went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Santander’s 11th of the season. His ISO is up to .228, which would be a career-high not including the shortened 2020 season. Santander is hitting just .228, but his .227 BABIP is well below his career .269 BABIP. His strikeout percentage is 18 percent, which is below his career 20 percent strikeout percentage. Santander’s power is still there and he’s just been unlucky with his average so far.

    • Recovering from minor setback
      Turner (hamstring) had a minor setback when he felt some leg soreness following a high-intensity workout May 25, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Turner resumed workouts this past weekend, doing some light jogging and change-of-direction running in addition to fielding grounders and hitting in the cage. The Phillies haven't offered a timetable for when he will run the bases, and Turner will need to start up a running program in addition to taking part in sliding drills before he's cleared for a rehab assignment. Turner will travel with the Phillies for their series in London against the Mets later this week to continue workouts, but he won't be activated from the 10-day injured list.     • Yoshida (thumb) could start rehab assignment soon
      Masataka Yoshida (thumb) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment near the end of this week.

      Advice: Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Sunday that Yoshida has seen considerable improvement and will “hopefully” be ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment before the end of the week. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since the beginning of May due to a strained left thumb.     • Possible rehab assignment this week
      Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Sunday that he's hopeful Yoshida (thumb) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment later this week, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

      Advice: Cora's comments came one day after Yoshida took live batting practice on the field and reported no issues with his strained left thumb, which has kept him out of action since April 28. Though the skipper didn't offer up a firm timeline for when Yoshida might be activated from the 10-day injured list, the 30-year-old may only need a handful of games in the minors this weekend before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Red Sox.       Ragans pitched six innings in a no-decision Sunday against San Diego, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks. He struck out six.

      Advice: Ragans was strong yet again Sunday, yielding two earned runs or fewer for the fourth consecutive start. During that span, the 26-year-old has recorded a robust 1.13 ERA and 32:8 K:BB in 24 innings. The hard-throwing southpaw induced 14 swinging strikes Sunday and has shown an impressive ability to miss bats this season, posting 10.97 K/9 thanks to a 15.0 percent swinging strike rate that ranks in the 95th percentile.       Carrasco (2-5) came away with the loss Sunday against Washington, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over four innings.

      Advice: Carrasco made his first start since May 15 after a minimum-length stint on the 15-day injured list due to neck spasms. Carrasco's struggles continued Sunday, as he lost his third straight outing and allowed five or more earned runs for the third time in his last six starts. The 37-year-old veteran has eaten up innings for Cleveland this season but has not delivered for fantasy managers, posting a 5.66 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 49.1 frames.       Cole Ragans allowed one run on five hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Padres on Sunday.

      Advice: The left-hander struck out six and walked two on the day while recording 14 whiffs on 46 swings for a 30 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He had some issues finding the strike zone with his off-speed pitches, but the induced whiffs outside of the zone and the Padres were unable to square him up.
