      Advice: Canning's only runs against him came off back-to-back home runs from Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez in the first inning. He then settled in from there and pitched four scoreless frames before his day was done after 89 pitches. He's now allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last four starts but has also given up four home runs and nine walks over that span. Tuesday was his fourth start of the year with three or fewer strikeouts, and he's now averaging just 6.3 K/9 after a career-best 9.9 K/9 a season ago.       Advice: Hoerner had a relatively unimpressive return after missing over a week with a hamstring issue, but he made up for it with a one-out, walk-off single in the 10th inning. The infielder is slashing .267/.357/.385 with two home runs, 13 RBI, 25 runs scored and five stolen bases over 185 plate appearances. The 30-year-old center fielder has undeniably gotten off to an ice-cold start at the plate this season, but he’s shown some signs of life since returning from the injured list earlier this week.       Advice: Robert has been on the shelf since April 6 due to a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain, but he now appears to be ready to test his hip in a competitive environment. The plan is for him to remain at the White Sox's complex in Arizona through the weekend before officially beginning an assignment with one of Chicago's minor-league affiliates next week.
