    • Juan Soto swipes two bases as Yankees defeat O’s
      Juan Soto singled, walked and stole a pair of bases as the Yankees triumphed over the Orioles on Wednesday evening in Baltimore.

      Advice: Soto smacked a one-out single off of Corbin Burnes in the top half of the first inning and swiped second base before being stranded there. He then worked a leadoff walk in the sixth inning, and once again nabbed second before being thrown out trying to steal third. On the season, the 25-year-old superstar is now hitting .325/.439/.575 to go along with eight homers, 25 RBI and four stolen bases. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
       
    • Joe Musgrove dazzles with nine strikeouts vs. Reds
      Joe Musgrove posted a season-high nine strikeouts and allowed two runs over six innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Reds.

      Advice: Musgrove cobbled together one of his strongest performances of the season to date, It was a much-needed bounce-back effort after being shelled for seven runs on eight hits, including four homers, over 3 2/3 innings his last time out against the Phillies. His average fastball velocity was back above 93 mph in this one as he induced 14 swinging strikes and finished with a solid 32 percent CSW. He’ll bring an inflated 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings (eight starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Cubs at historic Wrigley Field. It’s going to take a while for his surface stats to improve after some ugly early-season disasters, but this outing was an encouraging step in the right direction. Rotoworld Today, 3:44 pm
       
    • Nolan Gorman goes 0-for-3 against Tigers
      Nolan Gorman went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Tigers on Wednesday, dropping his average to .190.

      Advice: Statcast thinks Gorman has been fairly unlucky, but his strikeout rate remains terrible and he’s not hitting the ball hard as consistently as he did last year.       Soto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Soto cut the Yankees' deficit to 4-2 in the sixth inning with a 447-foot blast of Dean Kremer, his eighth homer of the year. Soto extended his hitting streak to eight games -- he's gone 10-for-30 with three homers and a 1.099 OPS in that span. The 25-year-old outfielder has gotten off to a stellar start in New York, slashing .325/.432/.588 with 24 RBI, 22 runs scored and two steals through his first 31 games.     • Blanks reds over five innings
      Darvish (1-1) grabbed a win over the Reds on Tuesday, tossing five shutout innings while allowing just three hits in the outing. He struck three and did not walk a batter.

      Advice: Darvish was finally able to pick up his first win of the season and help the Padres end a five-game losing streak. Tuesday was his first shutout effort since July 29 of last year. He was efficient, needing 70 pitches to get through five while inducing a bunch of weak contact. His strikeout numbers remain low in comparison to his career numbers, as he's now struck out three or fewer batters in three of his six starts so far. Still, Tuesday's outing was exactly what the Padres needed out of him, and he'll take a 3.45 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB into his next outing, which projects to be against the Cubs at the beginning of next week.     • Stuck with loss Tuesday
      Lopez (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings.

      Advice: Lopez struck out the side to begin his night en route to tying his season-high in strikeouts. He pitched well overall, but there was not much he could do with Atlanta not scoring until the eighth inning. His one costly mistake came in the third after allowing a two-run blast to Jorge Polanco and the Mariners would tack on a third run in the fourth, which proved to be the deciding run in the game. Tuesday was the first time Lopez had failed to pitch at least six innings and surrender more than a run. He's now given up a home run in back-to-back outings. Still, the 30-year-old has been nothing short of spectacular through the first month, posting a 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB in 30 innings.     • Carlos Estévez gives up two homers in taking loss
      Carlos Estévez took his second blown save and a loss after giving up three runs and two homers in the ninth Tuesday against the Mariners.

      Advice: The good news for Estévez is that, with Robert Stephenson out for the year and José Soriano in the rotation, he has no competition at the moment. Still, his stuff is definitely down from last year, and he hasn’t shown much improvement there from the beginning of the spring. It’s unlikely that he’ll be replaced right away, but Soriano might eventually supplant him if Chase Silseth rejoins the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:34 pm
       
    • Reynaldo López allows three over five in loss
      Reynaldo López allowed three runs in five innings while picking up a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

      Advice: López allowed six hits over those five frames, and he struck out seven while walking three with Josh Rojas getting all three free passes. The 30-year-old pitched better than his line suggested, but a two-run homer by Jorge Polanco turned an excellent outing into a shaky one from a fantasy perspective. Lopez still has an excellent 1.50 ERA, and he should be in fantasy lineups against Boston next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 pm
       
    • Has nightmare ninth
      Estevez (0-1) blew the save and took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on three hits with two strikeouts over two-thirds of an inning against Philadelphia.

      Advice: Each of the three hits against Estevez went for extra bases, with Nick Castellanos hitting a solo homer and Johan Rojas bringing in Bryson Stott -- who reached on a ground-rule double -- on a two-run homer to give the Phillies the lead. Estevez has now surrendered one or more runs in three of his last four appearances, a stretch that ballooned his ERA from 0.00 to 6.23 and resulted in a pair of blown saves. While his closing job seems to be safe for now, Matt Moore and Luis Garcia would be the names to know if Estevez begins to cede ninth-inning work. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm
