    • David Bednar silences Reds to notch 15th save
David Bednar tossed a perfect frame on Monday against the Reds to record his 15th save of the season.

Advice: Bednar was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (eight strikes) to spin a flawless frame. It was a nice rebound effort for the 29-year-old stopper after giving up solo homers in each of his previous two appearances. He’s converted 15 of his 18 save opportunities on the year. • Albies hits game-winning home run Monday
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Albies’ fifth of the season. His blast off Shelby Miller with two outs in the eighth inning was the difference in the 2-1 victory for Atlanta. Albies’ ISO is now .140 on the season, which is a far cry from the .233 ISO he had last year when he hit 33 home runs in 148 games. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago
    • Homers twice in win
Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a pair of two-run homers and two walks in Monday's 9-2 win over the Padres.

Advice: The veteran slugger got the scoring started for the Phillies in the third inning with a two-run blast off Randy Vasquez and later added another two-run homer off Adrian Morejon in the sixth. It was Schwarber's second multi-HR game this season and the 28th of his career. Schwarber batted .179 in his first seven games of June, but he's found his power stroke of late with five homers over his last seven contests. He's boosted his slash line to a season-best .253/.373/.457, and his 16 home runs are tied for fourth most in the National League. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago
    • Kyle Schwarber homers twice, Phillies rout Padres
Kyle Schwarber launched a pair of two-run homers on Monday, leading the Phillies to a 9-2 blowout victory over the Padres.

Advice: Schwarber went deep off Padres starter Randy Vásquez deep in the third inning before taking reliever Adrian Morejon out a couple frames later to record his third multi-homer performance of the season. It’s the second time in the last week that he’s accomplished the feat. The 31-year-old slugger is up to 16 round-trippers on the year and is on pace to eclipse the 40-homer plateau for the third straight campaign. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago
    • Michael Wacha will begin a rehab assignment
Royals RHP Michael Wacha (foot) will begin a rehab assignment on Monday in the Arizona Complex League.

Advice: Wacha was hit in the foot by a comebacker on May 31st and was placed on the IL with a fracture a couple of days later. He threw a three-inning simulated game last Thursday and reported no issues, so he’ll step up to a short rehab start and continue to work his way back from there. Provided his foot responds well to this start, he could quickly move through the rehab process. Rotoworld Today, 12:36 pm
    • Clubs 10th homer
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-0 victory versus the Royals.

Advice: Freeman reached double-digit homers on the campaign with his sixth-inning solo blast. The veteran first baseman has begun to pick up the pace in terms of power, going deep four times in 14 contests in June after coming into the month with just six long balls across 59 games. Freeman's pair of hits Sunday also lifted his average back up to .300 -- he's slashing .300/.401/.502 in 319 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 11:46 am
    • Gives up three runs in rehab start
Ray (elbow) surrendered three earned runs on four hits while striking out three in 1.2 innings during his third rehab start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Thursday.

Advice: Ray struck out eight while allowing just one baserunner in three innings between his first two rehab outings, but he hit his first bump in the road Thursday. Three of the four hits he allowed went for extra bases, including a two-run home run in the first inning. On a positive note, Ray peppered the strike zone like he had his previous two outings, spotting 24 of his 31 pitches for strikes. According to MLB.com, Ray is scheduled to make another appearance in the ACL on Tuesday, and if all goes well, he could be cleared to advance to a higher-level affiliate his next time out. The veteran southpaw is coming back from May 3, 2023 Tommy John surgery and is expected to exhaust his 30-day rehab window before potentially returning from the 60-day injured list and joining the San Francisco rotation around the All-Star break. • Making rehab start in ACL
Wacha (foot) will make a rehab start Monday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Advice: According to Anne Rogers of MLB.com, Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Sunday that Wacha may need only the one outing in the minors before returning from the 15-day injured list and making his next start with Kansas City this coming weekend in Arlington versus the Rangers. Wacha threw a three-inning simulated game Thursday, so he could be stretched out for close to a typical starter's workload if he's able to tack on another inning during Monday's outing. The right-hander has been on the injured list since June 2 with a non-displaced left foot fracture. Rotowire.com Today, 9:40 am
    • Tagged with loss Sunday
Iglesias (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Rays, giving up two runs on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out three.

Advice: Atlanta rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the game in the eighth inning, but Iglesias served up a two-run homer to Jose Siri to squander the comeback. It's only the second long ball the veteran closer has allowed this season in 26.2 innings, and Iglesias sports a 2.70 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB while converting 18 of 20 save chances.
