    • Fans 12 in no-decision
King came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the A's, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over five-plus innings. He struck out 12.

Advice: The right-hander set a season high in Ks and took a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning, but after allowing back-to-back singles to begin the frame, King left the mound and watched as Wandy Peralta let both inherited runners cross the plate. King hasn't been tagged for more than three runs in any of his last five starts, posting a 2.20 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:8 K:BB in 28.2 innings over that stretch. He'll face a much tougher test in his next outing, on the road early next week in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:26 am

    • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies. • Locks down save Tuesday
Pressly struck two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Giants.

Advice: Pressly was called upon to close the game with Josh Hader unavailable after working the previous two days. The 35-year-old got Patrick Bailey to fly out before recording back-to-back punchouts to seal the deal. He now has two saves in the last week, though Tuesday's outing also comes on the heels of a blown save Sunday. Despite holding a 5.19 ERA on the year, it seems as though Pressly still has the advantage over Bryan Abreu for save opportunities when Hader is unavailable to pitch. • Ryan Pressley gets second save for Astros
Ryan Pressly worked a scoreless ninth with a two-run lead for his second save Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Pressly unsurprisingly got the nod over Bryan Abreu with Josh Hader unavailable after working the previous two days. Pressly has been used as the Astros’ eighth-inning guy throughout, even though, with his 5.19 ERA, he’s been noticeably less effective than Abreu. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:26 pm
