    • IL stay to be minimal
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday the club is looking for Moreno (thumb) to return after a minimum stay on the 10-day injured list, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. He's eligible to return next Tuesday.

Advice: Moreno, who has been hitting off a tee and playing catch, will begin ramping up Thursday. That's when he'll catch a bullpen session thrown by injured ace Zac Gallen (hamstring). After that, the catcher is scheduled for a game in the Arizona Complex League over the weekend, setting up a potential return Tuesday, when the club kicks off a three-game set on the road against the Dodgers. • Crushes another leadoff shot
Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox while also drawing two walks.

Advice: For the second game in a row, Ohtani crushed a leadoff home run to open the contest, giving the superstar slugger 25 long balls on the season and 11 in the month of June. He's now homered in five of his last six games and has posted at least one RBI in 10 straight, raising his league-leading average to .322 on the campaign. Ohtani has also drawn at least one walk in six consecutive games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:48 am

    • Seiya Suzuki slugs solo homer in loss to Giants
Seiya Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Giants on Wednesday.

Advice: Suzuki’s only hit of the day left the yard, a game-tying homer in the fifth inning off of Hayden Birdsong. The 29-year-old outfielder is up to nine homers while slashing .263/.336/.446 with 29 runs scored, 29 RBI, and seven steals across 241 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani slugs solo homer in win over White Sox
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, two walks, and two runs scored in the Dodgers’ 4-0 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ohtani took Erick Fedde deep to lead off the first inning, setting a Dodgers record with an RBI in 10 straight games. He then drew a walk in the third and scored on a double by Freddie Freeman. Ohtani walked once again in the seventh to reach for the third time. The 29-year-old superstar is slashing .322/.402/.643 with 25 homers, 65 runs scored, 61 RBI, and 16 steals across 360 plate appearances as we reach the midway point of the season. • Expects to swing bat soon
Jung (wrist) said Wednesday that he expects to resume swinging a bat in a few days, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung was examined Tuesday in Phoenix by the doctor who performed his right wrist surgery back in early April. While the third baseman has had his activation from the 60-day injured list pushed back a bit due to inflammation in the wrist, he's been told that his wrist is sound structurally. Jung's return has effectively been ruled out through the weekend, but it's possible he'll rejoin the Texas lineup shortly after that. More should be known regarding a potential target date for his return in the coming days. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:59 am

    • Pilfers 14th bag in win
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Despite the sparse stat line, Chisholm played a key role in the victory -- he smashed an infield single back at Will Smith in the seventh inning, and Nick Gordon came home with the winning run on the southpaw's throwing error. Chisholm has had a productive June so far, slashing .286/.338/.414 through 21 contests with two of his 10 homers and three of his 14 steals on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:05 am

    • Reid Detmers fans 10, gives up two homers in loss
Reid Detmers struck out 10 but still gave up five runs in six innings Tuesday for Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Although he allowed only five hard-hit balls, two turned into homers and he still gave up eight hits anyway. Detmers has a 6.00 ERA and a 30/7 K/BB ratio over 24 innings in four starts since his demotion. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:54 am

    • Spencer Torkelson homers twice in Triple-A game
Spencer Torkelson went 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

Advice: Torkelson had some nice games immediately after being sent down by the Tigers, but he was in the midst of a two-week slump before breaking out of it last night. Overall, he’s at .274/.372/.452 with three homers in 18 games for Toledo. The Tigers might give him another opportunity soon, but there’s a good argument that Parker Meadows, who has hit .285/.378/.519 since his demotion, is more deserving at this point. • Homers in three-hit game
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Buxton got the Twins on the board with his fifth-inning solo shot and was also a part of their rally in the seventh. The outfielder has gone 8-for-20 (.400) with six extra-base hits over his last five games. He slumped early in June but has rebounded to get his slash line to .255/.302/.435 with six homers, 26 RBI, 28 runs scored and five stolen bases over 215 plate appearances this year.
