    • Showcases power, speed
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two stolen bases during Sunday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Lindor notched his fourth homer over the last nine games, tagging Lance Lynn for a solo shot in the sixth frame. The shortstop also notched the 14th multi-steal game of his career, marking his second and third pilfers of the campaign. During his last nine appearances, Lindor is batting .306 with nine RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm

    • Suffers hand injury in win
Yoshida exited Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs in the sixth inning due to a left hand injury, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Yoshida jammed his left hand on a groundout in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, ultimately leaving the game after the top of the sixth inning. Considering the outfielder was able remain in the game as long as he did and even record a hit in his second at-bat, it's possible that the injury is minor. The team will determine if he needs X-rays during Monday's off day, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Encarnacion-Strand (hand) held out of Reds lineup
Christian Encarnacion-Strand was held out of the Reds’ starting lineup on Sunday after taking a pitch off of his hand during Saturday’s game.

Advice: Fortunately, X-rays came back negative for any fractures and Encarnacion-Strand isn’t expected to be shelved for long. He should be considered day-to-day heading into next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm
    • Earns ugly win
Lopez (2-2) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk in five innings Sunday, striking out eight and picking up a win over the Angels.

Advice: Lopez tossed four shutout frames before the Angels caught fire in the fifth inning, plating four runs. Three of those runs came via back-to-back homers by Luis Rengifo and Nolan Schanuel. Lopez forced 13 whiffs after totaling just five in his last outing against the White Sox. Still, he saw his ERA climb to 4.83 through six starts. Lopez is currently in line for a home matchup with Boston next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:47 pm
    • Sits with hand injury
Encarnacion-Strand was held out of Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers due to a left hand injury suffered in Saturday's 8-4 win, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand was struck on his left hand by a pitch Saturday. According to manager David Bell, X-rays showed Encarnacion-Strand didn't sustain a fracture, though imaging revealed evidence of a previous fracture that may be contributing to his soreness. Spencer Steer filled in at first base Sunday for Encarnacion-Strand, who could be out a "few days," per Bell. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:05 pm
    • Pablo López defeats Angels to improve to 2-2
Pablo López picked up his second victory of the 2024 season on Sunday, limiting the Angels to four runs on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: López punched out eight batters on the afternoon while allowing only one base on balls. He kept the Angels off the board completely through the first four innings, but they saddled him with four runs in the fifth — courtesy of home runs from Luis Rengifo and Nolan Schanuel. López generated 13 swings and misses on 87 pitches in the contest, posting a strong CSW of 29 percent. He now holds a 4.83 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 37/7 K/BB ratio over 31 2/3 innings through his first six starts on the season. He’ll do battle against the Red Sox his next time out at home on Saturday. • Wyatt Langford’s first homer is inside-the-parker
Wyatt Langford made his first career homer an inside-the-parker Sunday in the Rangers’ 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Langford’s shot to right-center would have been a traditional homer in six ballparks. In Texas, it bounced off a fortunately angled wall and shot far into right field, allowing Langford to score without a play. Langford is batting .248/.325/.327 with 11 RBI through 27 games. It’s not quite what people expected after his huge spring, but he also hasn’t seemed overmatched in the least. He’ll continue improving from here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:42 pm
    • Secures first major-league homer
Langford went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Langford entered Sunday homerless through his first 26 major-league contests, but that came to an end in quite the unique fashion. With one on and two out in the top of the first, the outfielder launched a high flyball to right center field, which ricocheted off the wall and rolled away from right fielder Jake Fraley, allowing Langford to round the bases for an inside-the-park home run. Langford, who picked up his first RBI since April 18, is now batting .248 with 11 RBI, 13 runs and a stolen base over 101 at-bats in 27 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:33 pm
    • Receives Sunday off
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Seattle.

Advice: Moreno started the first two games of the series but will receive a breather in Sunday's finale. Tucker Barnhart is starting at catcher and batting eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:19 am
