Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Sunday that Lewis (quadricep) responded well to his first two minor-league rehab games, but the 24-year-old remains without a clear timeline to return from the 10-day injured list, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "But he's going to play this week, and we're going to see how he's doing," Baldelli said.

Advice: Lewis went 3-for-9 with a double, two runs and a stolen base over his two rehab games this weekend. The stolen base in particular was an encouraging sign that he's no longer slowed by his right quad strain, though the Twins have told him to play it safe and not attempt any more stolen bases during his rehab assignment. The Twins have been guarded about when Lewis may return, but given the team's need for offense, he may not need more than a week in the minors. Advice: Burger hit .250 with 34 home runs last year. With the three hits on Saturday, his average is up to a paltry .194 on the season. While Burger doesn’t have a track record outside of last season, his career BABIP is .282 and his BABIP this year is much lower at .217. Burger is even striking out at a much lower rate this year with a 22 percent strikeout percentage compared to his career 28 percent strikeout percentage. Advice: Burger shellacked a solo homer off Zac Gallen to give the Marlins a 3-0 lead. The 28-year-old has dealt with injuries in 2024 and hasn’t been successful even when on the field (.175/.211/.300), but he was one of the best infielders in baseball in the second half of 2024. Lewis (quadriceps) had a successful workout Friday and will report to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday to begin a rehab assignment, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
