    • Fires first career shutout
Gausman (5-4) picked up the win Saturday, giving up five hits and a walk in a complete-game shutout during Toronto's 7-0 victory over Oakland. He struck out 10.

Advice: It was the first shutout of Gausman's career, and the veteran right-hander was dominant all afternoon, firing 76 of 109 pitches for strikes while tying his season high in Ks. He's produced four quality starts in his last five trips to the mound, lowering his ERA on the season to 4.00 with a 1.25 WHIP and 69:16 K:BB through 69.2 innings. Gausman will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Guardians. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 pm

    • Drives in two, steals bag
Yelich went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: He got the scoring started in this one, driving in Brice Turang with a single in the first inning. Yelich came up with the bases loaded in the third and drove in another run on a sacrifice fly. He later added an infield single and a stolen base in the fifth. The former MVP has six multi-hit games over his last 15 games and his hitting .362 over that stretch. He has six homers, 29 RBI and 10 stolen bases through 38 games thus far. • Christian Yelich plates two runs to lead Brewers
Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs on Saturday afternoon, propelling the Brewers to a 5-4 victory over the Tigers in Motown.

Advice: Yelich opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI single off of Casey Mize that plated Brice Turang in the first inning. He then drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Yelich also reached on an infield single in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 32-year-old outfielder is now hitting .333/.414/.532 with six homers, 29 RBI and 10 stolen bases in what has been an impressive all-around season. • Kevin Gausman whiffs 10 in complete game shutout
Kevin Gausman struck out 10 in a complete-game shutout of the Athletics on Saturday for the win.

Advice: Gausman was outstanding on Saturday, shutting out the A’s in a complete game, his first of his 12-year career. He scattered five hits and walked one batter while striking out 10 on 17 whiffs. The 33-year-old right-hander will take a 4.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 69/16 K/BB ratio across 69 2/3 innings into a start against the Guardians in Toronto on Friday. • Swanson has three hits in loss Saturday
Dansby Swanson went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Swanson brought his average up to .220 with the three-hit effort. He’s following up a down season last year, when he hit .244, with even worse production this year. His 27 percent strikeout percentage would be the highest of his career and his .147 ISO would be the lowest. Maybe Saturday is the start of a turnaround for Swanson, but there haven’t been a lot of positives for him this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm

    • Big day across pond
Harper went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Mets.

Advice: After doubling in the first inning, Harper got the Phillies on the board in the fourth with a solo shot off Sean Manaea, his 15th homer this year. Harper had been slumping a bit prior to the Phillies' trip to London -- he'd gone 7-for-36 (.194) with just one home run in his previous 10 contests. Overall, the 31-year-old Harper is slashing .276/.384/.535 on the year with 45 RBI and 36 runs scored across 258 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:11 pm

    • Bryce Harper homers, Phillies crush Mets in London
Bryce Harper went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday’s London Series opener, leading the Phillies to a commanding 7-2 victory over the division-rival Mets.

Advice: Harper predictably stole the spotlight during Saturday’s highly-anticipated London Series opener, becoming the first Phillies batter to record a hit in England with a first-inning double before taking Mets starter Sean Manaea deep to right field a couple frames later for his 15th round-tripper of the season. He ended up with three hits, falling just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:06 pm

    • Placed on IL
The Marlins placed Weathers on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a left index finger strain.

Advice: Weathers' finger caused him to be pulled from his start Friday midway through the third inning. He'll now miss several starts as he heads to the IL, though the team has not yet offered any sort of return timeline for the 24-year-old lefty. Roddery Munoz was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move and will start Saturday versus Cleveland, while Max Meyer is a candidate to fill the vacancy in the rotation on a more permanent basis. • Ryan Weathers lands on IL with finger sprain
Marlins placed LHP Ryan Weathers on the 15-day injured list with a left index finger sprain.

Advice: Weathers winds up hitting the injured list after being lifted from Friday’s start against the Guardians with left index finger soreness. The 24-year-old southpaw, who has compiled a solid 3.55 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 67/20 K/BB ratio across 71 innings (13 starts) this season, is going to wind up missing at least a few weeks, even in a best-case scenario. There should be an official timeline from the club at some point in the near future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:22 pm
