    • Absent from lineup
Hoskins is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hoskins has been scuffling at the plate over the past week, going just 3-for-20. He'll begin Wednesday's afternoon game on the bench while Jake Bauers plays first base and Christian Yelich serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Heading to bench Wednesday
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Turner will head to the bench for the second time in the series, opening up the designated-hitter spot for Daniel Vogelbach in the finale. Though he's begun to heat up in June with a .400 on-base percentage and .407 slugging percentage, Turner is still maintaining a .676 OPS on the season, the worst mark of his career since he became an everyday player in the big leagues. • Homers as part of three hit night
Freeman went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and three runs scored in Tuesday's 15-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Freeman's big hit of the night came in the sixth when he went back-to-back with Shohei Ohtani as part of a four-homer inning for the Dodgers. Freeman now has multiple hits in four of nine games this month to go along with three home runs after he totaled just six homers through the end of May. His .401 on-base percentage currently ranks fifth in all of baseball, as he's slashing .297/.401/.498 with 30 extra-base hits, 41 RBI, 43 runs and a 39:49 BB:K in 299 plate appearances. • Receiving day off
Guerrero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: With Daniel Vogelbach serving as Toronto's designated hitter and with Spencer Horwitz getting the nod at first base, Guerrero will hit the bench for the first time all season in what appears to be routine maintenance. Guerrero went hitless in nine at-bats over his first two games of the series to bring his batting average down to .282 for the season. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
    • Passan: Dodgers acquire Biggio from Blue Jays
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers acquired INF/OF Cavan Biggio from the Blue Jays for minor league reliever Braydon Fisher.

Advice: The 29-year-old Biggio was waived by Toronto last week after hitting .200/.323/.291 with two home runs in 131 plate appearances in 2024. It was a disappointing start to the season after Biggio seemed to unlock something in the second half of last season when he hit .272/.404/.361 in 52 games. Over the last two seasons, Biggio has played every position in the field other than pitcher and catcher, so the Dodgers clearly see some value in his ability to move on all over and post near 80 percent contact rates. We’ll see if they can get a new level of production out of him, but he should remain on fantasy waiver wires for now. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • Sitting versus lefty
Kirilloff is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Kirilloff will begin the contest on the bench as the Rockies send southpaw Austin Gomber to the hill. The Twins will use Carlos Santana at first base in Kirilloff's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 6:59 am

    • Traded to Dodgers
The Dodgers acquired Biggio from the Blue Jays on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Braydon Fisher, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Biggio had been designated for assignment after slashing just .200/.323/.291 through 130 plate appearances this season. The 29-year-old will provide defensive versatility for the Dodgers, having played every position in the pro ranks other than pitcher and catcher. Biggio is making $4.21 million this season and has one year of arbitration eligibility remaining. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 am

    • In lineup against lefty
Lowe started at first base and went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 15-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Lowe, who had been held out of the starting lineup against the previous three left-handed starters the Rangers faced, was in the starting nine against lefty James Paxton. In those previous three games, Ezequiel Duran started at first base, but he was used at shortstop while Josh Smith was given a break and Corey Seager (hamstring) was unavailable. It's unclear if Lowe's start Tuesday signals that he's back in against lefties, or if it was a special case to give Smith a rest day. Rotowire.com Today, 4:39 am
    • Fills in at shortstop
Duran started at shortstop and went and went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 15-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Duran started in place of the injured Corey Seager (hamstring), who missed a fourth consecutive game. Josh Smith has served as the primary fill-in when Seager's been unavailable this season, but Smith was given a break Tuesday. Duran produced a run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning then popped his second home run of the season in the seventh. He has a modest seven-game hit streak (8-for-25, seven RBI) and hit safely in 14 of the previous 16 games. The Rangers maintain that Seager's injury is not serious and are not considering a stint on the IL. Rotowire.com Today, 4:28 am
