    • Goes deep in win
Olson went 2-for-5 in Wednesday's win over the Cubs with a solo home run.

Advice: Olson launched a two-out, solo homer in the top of the seventh to extend Atlanta's lead to seven runs, giving the first baseman his fourth long ball this month and seventh overall on the season. The veteran first baseman also added a single on the night, marking his ninth multi-hit performance of the campaign and fifth in his last nine games. He's now hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests, tallying three homers and eight RBI over that stretch. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:54 am

    • Matt Olson slugs solo homer against Cubs
Matt Olson went 2-for-5 with a solo homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Olson is having a much better month at the plate after a cold start in April, with multiple hits in five of his last nine games. He sent one over the fence in this one, taking Jose Cuas deep for a solo homer in the seventh inning. The 30-year-old slugger is hitting .228/.325/.415 with seven homers and 26 RBI across 197 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:09 pm

    • Boone: DJ LeMahieu ‘on track’ for May 28 return
Aaron Boone told the Talkin’ Yanks podcast that he believes DJ LeMahieu (foot) is on track to return May 28.

Advice: That would be next Tuesday, for those curious. LeMahieu has been out for the entirety of 2024 while recovering from his foot fracture. The 35-year-old is currently on a rehab assignment, and he’ll likely continue that assignment through the end of the week. LeMahieu hasn’t been a valuable fantasy player over the last few years, but hitting in the New York lineup does add some intrigue. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:15 am

    • Tracking toward May 28 return
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday in an interview with Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that he expects LeMahieu (foot) to be activated from the 10-day injured list May 28.

Advice: LeMahieu went 2-for-3 with three walks in six plate appearances during his two rehab games with Double-A Somerset following the resumption of his rehab assignment and is slated to be transferred to High-A Hudson Valley to continue rehabbing. Boone also reiterated that LeMahieu will be the team's primary third baseman when he returns from the 10-day injured list, though the plan is to mix in more off days for him initially since he's been on the shelf all season with a non-displaced fracture of his right foot. • Homers in first game of twin bill
Olson went 3-for-8 with a home run, a walk and two total RBI across both games of Monday's doubleheader split with San Diego.

Advice: Olson did most of his damage in Game 1, swatting a solo homer and adding another RBI on a single. The first baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season with a .230/.332/.410 slash line and just six homers through 44 games after going deep a career-high 54 times last year. Olson has been perking up with the bat of late, though, hitting .393 (11-for-28) with two home runs and seven RBI over his past eight contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:43 pm

    • Hitting in batting cage
Drury (hamstring) will hit in the batting cage Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Drury is ready to begin reincorporating baseball activities as he works his way back from a left hamstring strain. Running will certainly be a bigger test than hitting, though, and it's not clear when he might be ready to do that. Rotowire.com May 20, 1:52 pm

    • Matt Olsen hits sixth homer against Padres
Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI versus the Padres in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Olson’s homer, a no-doubter off Dylan Cease, was his sixth of the year. That’s way off last year’s pace, but his barrel and hard-hit rates are completely intact. There’s some bad luck involved here, but it also seems to be the case that balls just aren’t traveling as far this year as they did last season. Rotoworld May 20, 1:38 pm

    • Will be primary third baseman
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that LeMahieu (foot) will be the team's primary third baseman when he returns, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: LeMahieu will be eased into everyday duty, though, after missing so much time with a right foot injury. The veteran infielder is a couple games into the resumption of his rehab assignment and isn't expected to be activated for at least another week or so. Once LeMahieu returns, Oswaldo Cabrera and Jon Berti will fill utility roles. Rotowire.com May 20, 1:30 pm
