    • Kyle Schwarber orders combo meal in Phillies’ win
Kyle Schwarber walloped a leadoff homer and also stole a base on Wednesday, propelling the Phillies to a 6-1 victory over the Giants.

Advice: Schwarber delivered a tone-setting blast to left-center field right out of the gate against Giants starter Kyle Harrison before reaching on a fielder’s choice and stealing second base a couple frames later. The 31-year-old slugger also added an RBI single in the eighth inning as well to put the cherry on top of a multi-hit performance at Oracle Park, which is one of the toughest ballparks in the league for left-handed batters. • Nick Castellanos has three hits, homers in win
Nick Castellanos went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday in the Phillies’ win over the Giants.

Advice: Castellanos connected on a fifth-inning offering from Giants lefty Kyle Harrison, sending his seventh round-tripper of the season out to left-center field at spacious Oracle Park. The 32-year-old veteran outfielder got off to a slow start this season at the dish, but has heated up of late with three homers over his last seven contests. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:26 pm

    • Not in Wednesday's lineup
Raleigh is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Raleigh started the first two games of the series but has a .403 OPS over his past 26 at-bats and will take a seat for Wednesday's contest. Mitch Garver will step in behind the plate while Mitch Haniger serves as the desigated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:51 pm

    • Resting for second game of twin bill
Hayes is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Tigers.

Advice: After being activated from the injured list Tuesday, Hayes had to wait a day to make his return to the lineup due to a rainout creating a doubleheader Wednesday. He started at third base and played all eight innings in the field in the Pirates' 8-0 loss in the first game of the day, going 0-for-2 with a walk. Hayes should settle back into an everyday role at the hot corner, but the Pirates won't have him play two full games in his first day back in the lineup. Jared Triolo will fill in for him at third base in the second game of the day. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:33 pm

    • Swipes bag Tuesday
Machado went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-0 victory versus Miami.

Advice: Machado used his legs to help generate San Diego's final run in the eighth inning, hitting a one-out single and stealing second base before coming home on a Donovan Solano double. The single extended Machado's hitting streak to seven games, and he has four doubles along with three RBI and a .320 batting average during that span. However, the third baseman is in the midst of a lengthy homer drought -- he's now gone 22 games since his last long ball and has just five home runs through 223 plate appearances this season. • Sitting versus lefty
Cruz is absent from the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.

Advice: Detroit is sending lefty ace Tarik Skubal to the hill in the first game of the doubleheader, so the left-handed-hitting Cruz will begin the contest on the bench. Cruz should be back in the lineup for second game, when the Tigers will start righty Keider Montero. Alika Williams is garnering the start at shortstop in the first tilt. • Officially activated
The Yankees reinstated LeMahieu (foot) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: A fracture of LeMahieu's right foot has kept him on the injured list all season, but he will return to make his season debut Tuesday while starting at third base and batting ninth. The 35-year-old veteran will act as New York's primary third baseman going forward, though he's expected to receive a handful of off days initially as the Yankees attempt to ease him back into action. • Yankees activate DJ LeMahieu for season debut
Yankees activated INF DJ LeMahieu from the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The saga is finally over. LeMahieu will make his season debut on Tuesday night following a two-mont absence recovering from a fracture in his right foot, and a couple setbacks along the way. The 35-year-old veteran figures to draw most of his starts at the hot corner moving forward and bat near the bottom of New York’s lineup. Rotoworld Tuesday, 4:39 pm

    • Activated from injured list
The Pirates activated Hayes (back) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Hayes has been sidelined since early May with a back injury but will skip a rehab assignment and go directly back on the Pirates' active roster. The third baseman is slashing a disappointing .240/.322/.318 with just one home run and zero stolen bases this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:57 am
