He's had some struggles adjusting to major-league pitching with a 2:17 BB:K over his first 18 games. Manzardo may be running out of time to make an impression, as the Guardians will need to make a corresponding move to activate Steven Kwan (hamstring) from the injured list later in the week.       Davis Schneider went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Schneider doubled to kick off the game, but his second double, which came in the second inning, drove in two runs to give the Blue Jays an early 3-0 lead. He would add another RBI in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly to score George Springer, upping his RBI total to 28 on the season. Schneider is hitting a solid .255 on the year and is slashing .250/.368/.487 this month. While he’s not hitting for an overly high average, he’s offered decent power and an ability to drive in runs.       Advice: Kiner-Falefa extended his hitting streak to seven games when he singled to drive in George Springer in the top of the second inning. Kiner-Falefa now has nine homers and 15 RBI on the season and has slashed a solid .280/.304/.467 this month.       Advice: McCarthy was one of two Diamondbacks with a multi-hit effort Tuesday. He's logged a steal in each of his last two games, giving him five thefts on six attempts this season.       Tim Anderson went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Padres on Tuesday.

      Advice: Anderson probably cost the Marlins the game on defense Monday, and he’s on the short list of the game’s worst hitters at .199/.235/.219 this season. A batting champ in 2019 and an All-Star in both 2021 and ’22, it’s hard to understand why he looks so finished now at age 30.       Advice: Miranda's production at the plate continued Tuesday, plating Manuel Margot and Carlos Correra on a first-inning base hit. In May, Miranda is batting .276 with three long balls, 14 runs scored and 10 RBI across 22 games as the Twins' primary third baseman. It wasn't until the bottom of the eighth that Buxton came around to score, reaching via a base on balls and stealing second base before being plated by Edouard Julien on a base hit.       Advice: Refsnyder doubled off Grayson Rodriguez in the first inning before scoring on a Rafael Devers' base hit. He'd then cap the scoring in the ninth with a two-run, 419-foot homer off Keegan Akin to push Boston's lead to 8-3. It's just the second long ball of the year for Refsnyder, his first since April 19, though he's been swinging the bat well of late, going 11-for-29 (.379) in his last 10 contests.
