      Advice: Rodriguez did it all in this one, establishing a season-best with four RBI and recording a steal for the first time since May 8. The 23-year-old has largely been a disappointment this season, but performances such as this are a reminder of his incredible versatility.       Julio Rodríguez went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI as the Mariners bested the Nationals 9-5 on Sunday.

      Advice: Rodríguez’s three knocks all checked in between 107 and 109 mph. The Mariners had him batting third today after placing him sixth the previous three days. Last year, a drop in the lineup saw him hit two homers in his first game as a No. 5 hitter and resulted in an immediate return to the top of the order.       Kyle Tucker went 1-for-4 with a walk and home run in a 5-2 win over the A’s on Sunday.

      Advice: Another day, another Tucker home run. The 27-year-old hit a 403-foot shot off Aaron Brooks that left the bat at 105 mph. It was Tucker’s 18th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI to go along with a .280 average. He’s looking like one of the best first-round picks for this year’s fantasy baseball season.       Alexis Díaz struck out both batters he faced for a save Sunday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: The Reds were up 4-0 to start the ninth, so Díaz didn’t enter then. Instead, he came in after Carson Spiers allowed Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman to reach with one out, creating the save opportunity. Díaz then retired Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages to end the game. It was the 10th save in 12 opportunities for Díaz, who came into the day having allowed eight earned runs in 7 2/3 innings this month. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:29 pm

      Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

      Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year.       Diaz struck out both batters he faced to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Diaz closed the door on the Dodgers for the second consecutive game, though he ran both counts full and needed 16 pitches to record the final two outs. It was the fourth consecutive scoreless outing for Diaz, who appears to be turning things around after allowing 17 baserunners and 10 runs (nine earned) while blowing a save and earning two losses over his previous seven appearances spanning 5.2 innings between April 29 and May 19.     • Garrett Crochet takes tough luck loss on Sunday
      Garrett Crochet allowed two runs on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

      Advice: Crochet struck out 11 and walked just one, but the two-run homer he allowed to Adley Rutschman in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the game. The left-hander tied the Orioles up all day, getting 18 whiffs for a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. He now has a 3.68 ERA on the season with 85 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings. Anybody who dropped him after his poor three-start stretch against the Twins, Phillies, and Reds in mid-April is probably kicking themselves now as Crochet has allowed just five total earned runs in six starts since then.       Jorge Polanco will undergo an MRI exam on his injured left hamstring on Monday.

      Advice: Mariners’ manager Scott Servais told reporters after Sunday’s game that the club will have a better idea on his availability after that exam. The Mariners would probably be best served putting him on the injured list this time around and giving him the proper time to heal, but that’s not the path that they took while allowing him to sit out most of last week on a day-to-day basis.
