    • Goes yard in win
Schanuel went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: Schanuel's three-run blast in the fifth inning sparked a big rally from the Angels. Entering Monday, the first baseman had gone 0-for-11 over his last three games. He's up to five homers, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored, three doubles and a .232/.306/.351 slash line through 172 plate appearances this season. Schanuel is not being strictly platooned, but he's not an everyday player at first base, though he is seeing a majority of the reps there. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:23 pm

    • Nolan Schanuel hits three-run homer in Angels’ win
Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer Monday as the Angels outlasted the Astros 9-7.

Advice: Schanuel’s exit velocity numbers aren’t the least bit impressive, but he’s having enough success pulling flyballs that he’s now hit five homers, even though his longest drive of the year is 381 feet. We still wouldn’t want to roster him in mixed leagues at the moment, but it bodes well for the future. Rotoworld Monday, 8:24 pm

    • Vinnie Pasquantino gets day off Sunday vs. A’s
Vinnie Pasquantino is not in the lineup against the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: With J.P. Sears on the mound, the Royals will have Pasquantino grab a seat on the bench. Salvador Perez is starting at first base and Freddy Fermin is the starting backstop. The Royals will also have MJ Melendez open the game on the bench with Dairon Blanco starting in left field. Rotoworld May 19, 8:18 am
    • Sitting against lefty
Pasquantino is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: The lefty-hitting first baseman will begin the game from the dugout as the Royals take on southpaw JP Sears. Salvador Perez will move to first base in place of Pasquantino while Freddy Fermin starts at catcher as Kansas City looks get the sweep against the Athletics. Rotowire.com May 19, 8:05 am
