    • Wilyer Abreu collects three hits in Boston’s win
Wilyer Abreu went 3-for-4 with a triple Sunday as the Red Sox edged the Brewers 2-1.

Advice: Abreu benefitted from having a hit lost in the sun, but he also had a 409-foot triple to center that would have been a homer in 21 ballparks and a lineout with a .630 xBA. Abreu is batting .284/.359/.500 in 167 plate appearances, and while he’s probably overachieving somewhat, he’s certainly worth playing in mixed leagues for now. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:18 pm

    • Corbin Carroll triples and scores in loss to Fish
Corbin Carroll tripled, walked and scored a run as the Diamondbacks fell to the Marlins on Sunday afternoon in Miami.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder smacked a one-out triple off of Calvin Faucher in the eighth inning and dashed home with the Diamondbacks’ first run on a ground ball off the bat of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. While Carroll’s bat has perked up over the past couple of weeks, he’s still slashing an anemic .188/.274/.284 on the season to go along with two homers, 17 RBI and nine stolen bases. • Smacks three-run shot
Ward went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Ward jumped on a four-seamer from Tanner Bibee in the bottom of the third and launched it over the wall in left field for a three-run shot to bring the Angels back within one run of Cleveland. It marked the fourth long ball for the outfielder in his last nine games as well as his first multi-RBI effort this month. Ward is now up to 11 home runs and 32 RBI on the campaign while also hitting safely in eight of his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:12 am

    • Hitless but makes impact
Carroll went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Carroll managed to make an impact without a hit. He led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk then stole a base before scoring the club's first run. An inning later, his sacrifice fly plated what turned out to be the winning run. The move back up to the top of the order hasn't shaken Carroll out of a season-opening slump. He was batting .203 as of May 5, when manager Torey Lovullo moved him back into the familiar leadoff role. Seventeen games later, Carroll's average has dipped to .186. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:20 am
    • Ward hits 11th home run on Saturday
Taylor Ward went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Ward supplied all the offense for the Angels as they lost this one 4-3. The home run was his 11th of the season. After somewhat of a down season last year, Ward has regained his power stroke. His .211 ISO would be a career-high and his .271 average is also solid for the career .257 hitter. • Goes yard in Friday's win
Fry went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Friday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Fry has homered five times over his last 13 games, going 14-for-33 (.424) with a 10:6 BB:K in that span. The 28-year-old got a start at catcher versus southpaw Patrick Sandoval in this contest, though manager Stephen Vogt has found room for him in various spots including first base, third base, left field and designated hitter this season. Fry is slashing a stellar .360/.500/.628 with six homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored and three stolen bases over 114 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:39 pm

    • David Fry stays hot with homer, two hits vs. LAA
David Fry homered while going 2-for-3 in a blowout win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Just like we all expected, Fry has been one of the best hitters in the American League this season. You can’t prove we didn’t expect it, anyway. Fry has gone deep six times in his 35 games, and his slash is a borderline unrealistic .360/.500/.628 over that timeframe. Mainly thanks to catcher-eligibility, Fry has to be rostered right now. • Nick Castellanos homers as Phillies top Rangers
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 5-2 win for the Phillies on Thursday over the Rangers.

Advice: Castellanos extended the Phillies’ lead to 5-2 with a solo blast in the seventh inning. The veteran outfielder has been able to provide five homers thus far in 2024, and the pair of hits see his average increase to a still-disappointing .206 mark. Castellanos is a good bet to be (much) better over the final two-thirds of the 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:20 pm

    • Corbin Carroll triples, plates two in win Wednesday
Corbin Carroll went 1-for-5 with a triple and two RBI against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Carroll put the Diamondbacks on the board in the fifth inning, hitting a triple off Tyler Glasnow to bring two runs in to score. He then cross home plate on a wild pitch. The 23-year-old outfielder has put together a modest five-game hitting streak. Carroll has struggled mightily to start the season, slashing .191/.275/.282 with two homers, 21 runs scored, 16 RBI, and eight steals across 211 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:01 pm
