    • King strikes out seven in no-decision Monday
      Michael King allowed one run in five innings and got a no-decision in the Padres’ 2-1 victory over the Marlins on Monday.



      Advice: King allowed three hits, one walk and struck out seven. He left the game with the score tied after five innings. King’s ERA is now 4.09 on the season. His 74 strikeouts this year rank among the top 10 in all of baseball. The 29-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road this weekend.

      Eflin (back) was able to play catch Sunday, MLB.com reports.

    • Throws seven high-quality innings
      Webb did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run (none earned) on three hits and a walk over seven innings against the Mets. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The lone unearned run Webb allowed was set up by his own error, but he was lights-out otherwise with a season-high eight strikeouts and left the game in line for the win. The outing dropped Webb's ERA to 2.74 with a 1.26 WHIP across 72.1 innings. His next scheduled start is slated for next weekend when the Giants host the Yankees. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:29 pm
       
    • No decision yet on rehab start
      The Rangers have yet to decide whether Eovaldi (groin) will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Eovaldi has been on the shelf since May 3 with a strained right groin. Though Eovaldi didn't return from the IL in the minimum 15 days like manager Bruce Bochy had initially suggested could be the case, the veteran right-hander might be able to avoid a rehab assignment prior to being activated. He traveled with the Rangers this weekend and threw a bullpen session Friday at Target Field, and he'll presumably be reassessed when the team returns to Arlington ahead of its two-game home series versus the Diamondbacks that begins Tuesday.     • Logan Webb strikes out eight in no-decision
      Logan Webb struck out eight Mets across seven innings on Sunday. He allowed three hits and walked just one.

      Advice: Webb was in complete control in this one despite allowing a good bit of hard contact. The Mets swung and missed 11 times at his sinker alone and his eight strikeouts marked a season high. A win seemed all but cinched before Tyler Rogers imploded in the ninth inning.     • Picks up third win
      Bibee (3-1) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out six.

      Advice: All of the damage against Bibee came in the bottom of the third, when he allowed two of the first four batters to reach before surrendering a three-run blast to Taylor Ward. However, the right-hander was able to work his way out of trouble for the rest of the night while inducing 20 swings and misses. Bibee has now logged back-to-back quality starts and has given up three runs or fewer in six of his last eight outings.     • Twirls gem against Dodgers
      Greene (3-2) earned the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Greene routinely touched 99 mph with his fastball and finished with a whopping 23 swings and misses on 107 total pitches. His performance helped secure a surprising series win for the Reds, their first in over a month. While things have been going poorly for the team as a whole, Greene seems to be turning a corner and blossoming into a legitimate frontline starter, having posted a 1.95 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over his last six starts, with only two homers allowed over 37 innings in that span.     • Bibee picks up third win Saturday
      Tanner Bibee allowed three runs in six innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 4-3 victory over the Angels on Saturday.



      Advice: Bibee’s win was his third of the season. He allowed six hits, one walk and struck out six. Bibee got touched up by Taylor Ward for a three-run home run, but otherwise held down the Angels offense for the rest of his outing. His ERA is now 3.99 on the season. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Nationals at home next week.

    • Roughed up by Milwaukee
      Pivetta (2-3) took a loss Saturday against the Brewers, yielding five runs on seven hits and three walks over just 3.1 innings. He notched three strikeouts.

      Advice: Pivetta struck out two in a 1-2-3 first inning, but it was a struggle after that. He managed to escape a bases-loaded situation in the second inning, but in the third the Brewers had six straight runners reach base (five via hits) with two outs and scored five runs. Pivetta has now had two great outings but also two duds since coming back from the injured list. If there's a positive to take away from this one it's that he didn't give up a home run after he surrendered six in his prior three starts. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:15 pm
