      Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

      Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span.       Gorman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

      Advice: Gorman has four homers, two steals, eight RBI and eight runs scored over his last nine games, batting .321 (9-for-28) in that span. It's a good run of consistency at the plate for the infielder, who has struggled to put it all together at times this season. He's at a .214/.306/.428 slash line with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored and two steals through 47 contests overall while holding down a starting role at second base.       Rengifo went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

      Advice: Rengifo did a good job of getting on base, and he was able to score after his singles in the first and eighth innings. The infielder has been locked in since returning from an illness May 17, going 15-for-42 (.357) over his last 10 contests.       Nicky Lopez went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, and one RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Blue Jays.

      Advice: The White Sox managed just two runs on the night, with one of them coming on an RBI double in the third inning. He also tripled in the first inning, as his two extra-base hits on the day tied his season total entering the evening.       Davis Schneider went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Schneider doubled to kick off the game, but his second double, which came in the second inning, drove in two runs to give the Blue Jays an early 3-0 lead. He would add another RBI in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly to score George Springer, upping his RBI total to 28 on the season. Schneider is hitting a solid .255 on the year and is slashing .250/.368/.487 this month. While he’s not hitting for an overly high average, he’s offered decent power and an ability to drive in runs.       Isiah Kinder-Falefa went 1-for-4 with a double and RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Kiner-Falefa extended his hitting streak to seven games when he singled to drive in George Springer in the top of the second inning. Kiner-Falefa now has nine homers and 15 RBI on the season and has slashed a solid .280/.304/.467 this month.       Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

      Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games.       Garrett Hampson went 1-for-3 with one RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

      Advice: Hampson drove in the Royals’ first run of the night when he singled home Nick Loftin in the fifth inning. It was a tough evening for the Royals, as the heart of their order failed to record a hit, leaving Hampson and the lower third of the order to act as run support.     • Miguel Vargas connects for first homer in victory
      Miguel Vargas slugged a solo homer to lead the Dodgers to a 3-0 win in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Mets.

      Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been reluctant to give Vargas opportunities so far as he made just his third start in this one since being summoned back on May 17 from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He connected for his first round-tripper of the season when he took Mets starter José Quintana deep in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old should probably get a longer look in Los Angeles, but it doesn’t sound like that’s in the cards at the moment, unless he’s going to force them to keep his bat in the lineup.
