    • Yields run Sunday
Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out one batter during Sunday's win over Oakland.

Advice: Hader entered a non-save situation and eventually finished off the 5-2 win, but not before coughing up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers. That homer snapped Hader's 8.1-inning scoreless streak and his seven-inning hitless streak. The veteran southpaw owns a 4.13 ERA with a 38:9 K:BB and seven saves this season. • Picks up fourth save
Sewald earned the save in a win over the Marlins on Saturday, striking out one over a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Sewald had no issues running through the bottom of Miami's lineup to secure the save, needing just nine pitches to get the job done. The right-handed reliever remains perfect on the season in save opportunities and hasn't allowed a run since his first relief appearance back on May 7 (spanning six appearances). Sewald has also recorded at least one strikeout in three straight outings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:26 am

    • Blows another save Saturday
Diaz gave up a run on two hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Saturday, blowing his fourth save of the season in a 7-2 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Advice: After the right-hander tossed a scoreless inning and recorded a hold Friday, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza gave Diaz another shot at closing with the team clinging to a 2-1 lead. He couldn't get the job done, giving up two singles with a stolen base in between to tie the game before Sean Reid-Foley and Josh Walker combined for a disastrous 10th inning. Diaz has blown three straight save chances and four of five since May 5, stumbling to an 11.05 ERA in 7.1 innings over that stretch despite an 11:3 K:BB. Diaz last had struggles like this in 2019 and was eventually able to find his form again, but the Mets will be hard-pressed to use him in high-leverage spots until he shows some consistency. • Sewald records four save against Marlins Saturday
Paul Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Sewald has allowed one run with seven strikeouts and one walk in seven appearances and converted all four of his save opportunities since coming off the injured list. Fantasy managers that held Sewald since the beginning of the year can’t ask for much more than what they’re getting right now. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:17 pm

    • Edwin Díaz charged with fourth blown save Saturday
Edwin Díaz allowed one run with one strikeout in the ninth inning to blow the save chance against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: After Díaz had struck out two batters in a scoreless inning on Friday, he got the save chance on Saturday against the Giants. Asked to close it out with a one-run lead, he surrendered two hits to tie the game, blowing the save chance. The 30-year-old right-hander is having a rough season after missing the 2023 campaign, posting a 5.40 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over 20 frames. Given his track record and overall struggles in the Mets bullpen, he should continue to get a chance to work through his issues in the late innings. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:56 pm

    • Edwin Díaz (sort of) gets vote of confidence
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Edwin Díaz is “one of the options” (to close) moving forward.

Advice: He’s our closer,” Mendoza added. “Even if he’s going through it right now.” He also elaborated that they’ll “piece it together” moving forward in the ninth inning. It’s a bit of a confusing message and isn’t exactly the vote of confidence fantasy managers are hoping to hear. It certainly sounds like Díaz will get some save opportunities in the near future, but Reed Garrett, Adam Ottavino and Jorge López might also still be in the mix. What a mess. • Picks up ninth save
Doval gave up a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his ninth save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Mets.

Advice: The Giants scored six of their runs in the eighth and ninth innings to create the save chance, but Doval very nearly squandered it following a leadoff double by pinch hitter DJ Stewart and a fielding error by Marco Luciano. It was the first earned run the right-hander has allowed since May 8 at Coors Field, and on the season Doval carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 27:15 K:BB through 20.2 innings while converting nine of 10 save opportunities. • Records seventh save
Hader struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Hader has not allowed a hit over his last five appearances spanning seven innings, and he has a 12:2 K:BB with three saves and two wins in that span. The Astros are trending upward as well, which has given Hader more consistent work. The southpaw is at a 3.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 37:9 K:BB over 23 innings while converting seven of eight save chances this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:00 pm

    • Josh Hader whiffs two while picking up save
Josh Hader struck out two over a scoreless ninth to get a save Friday against the Athletics.

Advice: Hader didn’t allow a hit and needed just 10 pitches to get through the inning even with the two strikeouts. The southpaw has now saved seven games, and his ERA has dropped to 3.91 after a few ugly outings to begin the campaign. Rotoworld Friday, 9:15 pm
