    • Phillips picks up 12th save Thurday
Evan Phillips tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Phillips’ save was his 12th of the year. He struck out two Rockies in the scoreless frame. Phillips hasn’t blown a save opportunity yet this year and his ERA is down to 1.80. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago
    • Fernando Tatis Jr. in lineup Thursday vs. Brewers
Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Tatis got a day off earlier this week to address a lingering quad issue that he’s been playing through for the last few weeks. It’s possible the nagging issue has impacted his performance recently as he’s batting .130 (3-for-23) over his last seven games. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago
    • CJ Abrams day-to-day after MRI on left wrist
CJ Abrams is day-to-day after an MRI this week revealed a Ganglion cyst on his left palm near his wrist.

Advice: Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters Thursday that it isn’t a serious concern. We’re not medical professionals, but a Ganglion cyst is basically a non-cancerous lump that appears along the joints of the wrists or hands. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward as the issue mighty simply go away on its own, but it’s something Abrams will have to manage going forward. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Abrams back in Washington’s lineup at some point in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 1:49 pm

    • Day-to-day following MRI on wrist
Abrams is considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed a ganglion cyst on his left wrist, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: A ganglion cyst is a noncancerous lump which is commonly found on the tendons or joints of the wrists and hands. While the cyst has caused Abrams some discomfort, it's something that will often clear on its own. The shortstop could be back in the lineup this weekend in Colorado. • Not in Thursday's lineup
Abrams (wrist) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Abrams was scratched from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's 3-1 win and was set to undergo an MRI on his left wrist. The results of his imaging haven't been revealed, but Abrams will miss a second straight start Thursday. The Nationals should have more information on the Abrams' condition before long. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in for Abrams at shortstop. Rotowire.com Today, 8:25 am

    • CJ Abrams (wrist) remains out of lineup Thursday
CJ Abrams (wrist) is not in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Abrams was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday, and then it was revealed that he was headed for an MRI on his left wrist. There seems to be minimal concern right now, but there is also minimal information, so it’s unclear how long Abrams may be sidelined. For Thursday, Ildemaro Vargas will start at shortstop. • Two hits, steal in win
Hamilton started at shortstop and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and an RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hamilton returned to the starting lineup after dealing with discomfort in his side. He started the scoring with a run-producing single in the third inning and later stole his 20th base of the season. Hamilton has been prominent in the team's recent transition to the "Running Red Sox," as the team has attempted 17 steals (twice caught) over the last four games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:24 am

Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the A’s on Wednesday.
