Contreras went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and a walk in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Contreras scored runs in the first and fifth innings, both coming via Nolan Arenado doubles. Since his last multi-hit game April 17, Contreras was stuck in a 9-for-43 (.209) slump in 12 games. Despite the streakiness, he still owns a strong .281/.395/.531 slash line through 114 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:52 pm
    • Hunter Greene goes 5 2/3 scoreless for Reds
Hunter Greene blanked the Orioles for 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision Friday.

Advice: Greene, who also pitched shutout ball last time out, lowered his ERA to 3.12. Still, the Reds are somehow 1-6 when he pitches this season, despite being 15-10 the rest of the time. Greene’s luck should even out at some point, and he seems like an every-week play in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:32 pm

    • Sharp again in no-decision
Greene did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing five hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Greene had to contend with some traffic Friday, though he'd ultimately make it through 5.2 innings unscathed. The right-hander fell an out shy of a quality start, though it's his second consecutive scoreless outing -- he blanked the Rangers over seven innings in his last start. Overall, Greene's 1-2 with a 3.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB through 40.1 innings. He's tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks in his next start. • Steven Kwan reaches base three times in loss
Steven Kwan went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a walk as the Guardians were shut out by the Angels on Friday night.

Advice: As a team, the Guardians were only able to muster six hits and a pair of walks on the night, so Kwan definitely did his part. He has been a tremendous catalyst atop the Guardians’ lineup this season, slashing a robust .356/.406/.500 with three homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases through his first 31 ballgames. • Bailed out by offense
Civale escaped with a no-decision Friday in Tampa Bay's 10-8 win over the Mets, coughing up seven runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: New York tagged him for three runs in the second inning and four more in the fifth, but Civale still left the mound with the Rays ahead 9-7. The right-hander tossed 52 of 77 pitches for strikes as he allowed five or more runs for the third straight outing. The rough patch has sent his ratios soaring, and Civale will carry a 6.14 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB through 36.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the White Sox. • Willson Contreras reaches four times vs. White Sox
Willson Contreras went 3-for-3 and scored two runs with a stolen base against the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Contreras also drew a walk. The 31-year-old is off to a much better start than the one he had in his first year with the Cardinals, as the four-reach game sees his line improve to .281/.395/.631 over 96 at-bats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:58 pm
    • Seager drives in run, but Rangers routed by KC
Corey Seager went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Seager drove in the first — and only — run of the night with an RBI single off Brady Singer in the third. Seager has not gotten off to a strong start to the 2024 campaign, as the pair of knocks still has his average at a disappointing .229 with an equally disappointing .297 slugging percentage. • Aaron Civale torched for seven runs in no-decision
Aaron Civale was knocked around in a no-decision against the Mets on Friday evening, giving up seven runs on six hits across his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: Civale punched out five batters on the night while allowing one base on balls. The Mets got to him for three runs in the second inning on a three-run blast off the bat of Brett Baty. He then settled in and was staked to a 9-3 lead heading into the fifth inning. That’s when the wheels came off the tracks. There, he allowed four more runs and was chased from the game, just one out shy of qualifying for a victory. Civale got 11 swings and misses on 77 pitches on the night, registering a strong CSW of 35 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a disappointing 6.14 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and a 39/10 K/BB ratio (36 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s showdown against the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
    • Removed with sore hamstring
Turner was removed from Friday's game against the Giants due to left hamstring soreness, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Turner stole second base and then scored from second on a passed ball during the fourth inning, but he was replaced on defense by Edmundo Sosa before the fifth frame. It remains unknown how severe Turner's injury is, but the Phillies should offer an update on his status in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 pm
