    • Won't play Sunday
Devers was removed from Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox with left knee soreness and won't play in Sunday's series finale, Sean McAdam of MassLive.com reports. He went 0-for-2 with a walk before exiting.

Advice: Manager Alex Cora said post game that Devers reported soreness in his left knee -- the same knee that forced Devers to miss nearly a week in late April -- which led to Devers' removal in the eighth inning. Cora will play it safe with the stud third baseman, giving him a day off Sunday. The Red Sox have a team day off Monday, so Devers' return to the lineup should come Tuesday against Philadelphia. • Swats first homer of 2024
Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, the 28-year-old took Nick Nastrini deep in the fifth inning for Boston's only offense, and Dalbec's first long ball in the majors this season. He's flashed plenty of power in the minors -- in his last 140 games for Triple-A Worcester, he's slugged 41 homers -- but that hasn't yet translated to the game's highest level with any consistency. He'll lose playing time, and likely his spot on the 26-man roster, when players like Tyler O'Neill (knee), Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) are back in action, as Dalbec's .159/.243/.238 slash line in 28 games for the Red Sox makes a poor case to keep him around. • Pilfers two bags in loss
Duran went 0-for-3 with two walks and two stolen bases in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The 27-year-old did his job as the leadoff man, but the hitters in the three spots behind him in the order went a combined 0-for-11 on the afternoon. Duran came into this series in Chicago having failed to steal a bag in 14 straight games, but he's swiped three in the last two contests to give him 14 on the season. He's also slashing .263/.331/.451 on the year with five homers, 27 RBI and 39 runs in 65 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 6:06 pm

    • Swats ninth homer
O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 win against the Rays.

Advice: O'Hearn produced Baltimore's only run against opposing starter Taj Bradley, belting a solo homer to right field in the fourth inning. After Bradley departed, O'Hearn scored his team's second run when he singled and stole second base in the eighth frame before coming home on a Jordan Westburg triple. O'Hearn has homered twice in his past three games and is up to nine long balls on the campaign, putting him well on pace to surpass his career high of 14 homers, which he established in 2019 and tied last season. • Takes loss versus Brewers
Mize (1-4) went 5.1 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks with one strikeout Saturday vs the Brewers

Advice: Mize pitched into the sixth inning for just the sixth time this season. He was pulled with his team up 4-3, but the bullpen allowed both inherited runners to come across to score sticking him with the loss. It was a tough break for Mize as two of his five runs allowed were unearned. The right-hander is still looking for his second win of the campaign, he's now gone eight straight start without a win and has seen his ERA climb from 3.08 to 4.73 in the process. • Stumbles against ChiSox
Bello (6-3) took the loss Saturday as the Red Sox fell 6-1 to the White Sox, giving up five runs on nine hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Only two of the hits off the right-hander went for extra bases, but one of those was a grand slam by Gavin Sheets in the fifth inning. Bello has been tagged for at least three runs in five straight starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 6.75 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB over 26.2 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Today, 6:01 pm

    • Fans seven in tough-luck loss
Bradley (1-4) took the loss against Baltimore on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings.

Advice: In his previous outing, Bradley was crushed by the Orioles for nine runs over 3.1 innings, so his performance Saturday was a promising turnaround. However, the strong effort didn't make a difference in the loss column, as Tampa's offense was shut out by Kyle Bradish and a pair of Baltimore relievers. Despite the defeat, fantasy managers who roster Bradley should be encouraged by his start -- in addition to allowing just one run, he racked up 18 swinging strikes and walked only one batter. He now holds a 5.17 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB over 31.1 innings on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:01 pm
    • Can't find plate in loss
Medina (0-1) took the loss Saturday, coughing up six runs on five hits and five walks over 4.2 innings as the A's fell 7-0 to the Blue Jays. He struck out one.

Advice: The right-hander had no margin for error with Kevin Gausman tossing a complete-game shutout for Toronto, but Medina had trouble finding the plate all afternoon, walking the bases loaded in the first inning to set up the Jays' first run and finally exiting having thrown only 45 of 84 pitches for strikes. Through his first two starts for Oakland this season, Medina has a 7:7 K:BB in 10.1 innings, but the team's lack of healthy arms should keep him in the rotation for now. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Minnesota. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 pm

    • Starting Sunday
Francis will start Sunday's game against the Athletics, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Francis will make his first start since being activated from the 15-day IL on Tuesday. The 28-year-old surrendered four runs and tossed 57 pitches in long relief Tuesday and has yielded 12 runs over 8.1 innings during his only two starts this season. However, he'll have the luxury of facing an Athletics lineup that is scoring just 3.6 runs per game in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 5:53 pm
