    • Secures eighth save
Iglesias gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his eighth save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: It wasn't the sharpest appearance for Iglesias, who put two batters on base before getting an out, but he settled down and took care of the heart of Seattle's order without too much more trouble. The right-hander has converted eight of his nine save chances to begin the year while posting a typically stingy 2.19 ERA and 1.05 WHIP through 12.1 innings, but there are signs Iglesias isn't quite in peak form -- his 94.5 mph average fastball is his lowest velocity since 2016, and his 18.0 percent strikeout rate is a massive drop from the 29.4 percent mark he delivered last season. His top velocity Wednesday was 95.3 mph, on a two-seamer to Luke Raley. Rotowire.com Today, 6:16 am
    • Raisel Iglesias dodges traffic to net eighth save
Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Mariners to collect his eighth save of the season.

Advice: Iglesias was summoned to guard a three-run lead in the final frame and certainly made things interesting by issuing a leadoff walk to Luke Raley before giving up a single to ensuing batter Julio Rodríguez. He set down Mitch Haniger and Jorge Polanco before getting Cal Raleigh to ground out to preserve the victory. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has converted eight of nine save opportunities this season to accompany a sparkling 2.19 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB ratio across 12 1/3 innings (13 appearances). • Wins in scoreless outing
Leclerc (2-2) earned the win Friday, striking out two over a scoreless eighth inning against Cincinnati.

Advice: Leclerc, who earlier this season lost the closer's job, has reclaimed the confidence of manager Bruce Bochy. Friday's outing was his fifth consecutive scoreless appearance, with the last three coming in the eighth inning of games. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:22 am

    • Raisel Iglesias allows two runs in rare meltdown
Raisel Iglesias was charged with two runs (one earned) in the ninth inning on Wednesday and was saddled with a blown save against the Marlins.

Advice: Iglesias was called upon to guard a two-run lead and was unable to preserve the victory after three straight singles and a fielding error by first baseman Matt Olson allowed a pair of runs to cross the plate. The veteran stopper deserves credit for getting the contest to extra innings by retiring ensuing batters Jesús Sánchez, Tim Anderson and Nick Gordon to stand the potential go-ahead run at third base. It was his first blown save in eight opportunities this season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:31 pm
    • First blown save
Iglesias blew the save Wednesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and no walks across one inning. He struck out one.

Advice: Iglesias was given two runs of cushion in the ninth but allowed three consecutive singles to open up the frame. With the bases loaded and no outs, a hard-hit groundball by Josh Bell ricocheted off Matt Olson into Atlanta's dugout, allowing two runs to score. The outing snapped Iglesias's streak of seven straight appearances with a save and it was just his second outing allowing a run in 10 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:26 pm
    • Notches seventh save
Iglesias picked up the save Monday against Miami. He pitched a clean inning with one strikeout.

Advice: Iglesias continued his sterling start to the campaign Monday night with an uneventful save against the Marlins. He needed only 11 pitches to set down Josh Bell, Jesus Sanchez and Tim Anderson in order for his seventh save, tying him for the NL lead. Iglesias has pitched to a 2.16 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB over 8.1 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:46 pm
