    • Goes deep in loss
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 loss Seattle.

Advice: Lowe reached down for a slider low in the zone to blast his first home run of the season. The first baseman has played in all five games since being activated off the injured list last Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:42 pm
    • Hoskins has three hits, two RBI in win
Rhys Hoskins went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Pirates on Thursday.

Advice: Hoskins is hitting just .226/.320/.452 on the year but does have five home runs and 17 RBI in 23 games. He’s been making solid contact with a barrel rate of just under 13 percent and has just 20 strikeouts in his 23 games, so at some point, that level of quality contact will lead to a hot streak. Maybe this is the start of one? Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm

    • A’s officially place Zack Gelof on 10-day IL
Athletics placed INF Zack Gelof (oblique) on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 24, with a left oblique strain.

Advice: This doesn’t come as a surprise as the 24-year-old second baseman was diagnosed with the strain Wednesday, but it’s a disappointment for fantasy managers that have him rostered. Abraham Toro is likely to take over at second while Gelof is sidelined. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:08 am

    • Placed on injured list
The Athletics placed Gelof on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique.

Advice: Gelof's injury caused him to be a late scratch from Oakland's lineup ahead of Wednesday's game, and it will now officially cost him at least another week and a half. The 24-year-old second baseman hadn't missed a start prior to Wednesday, though he's failed to make the most of his playing time, slashing just .196/.260/.337 with seven RBI across his first 101 plate appearances. Darell Hernaiz was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:07 am

    • Playing time dipping
Davis is out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Brewers.

Advice: He has now started just two of the previous six games and will give way to Joey Bart behind the dish Thursday. Davis is slashing just .180/.288/.230 with a 31.1 percent strikeout rate this season, and with Yasmani Grandal (foot) nearing a return, he could find himself back in the minors soon. • Homer, three hits in win
Henderson went 3-for-3 in Wednesday's win over the Angels with a home run, a double, three RBI and three runs scored. He also stole a base.

Advice: Henderson was hit by a pitch in the opening at-bat to start the game and wasted no time in getting his revenge, taking Tyler Anderson deep for a leadoff home run in his next trip to the plate to put the Orioles up 1-0. The star shortstop would then add a double and a two-run single in his next two-at bats while also being hit by a pitch for the second time in the contest. Henderson has now homered in back-to-back games and also extended his hitting streak to five games with Wednesday's performance. Even more impressive is the fact that he's tallied multiple hits in seven of his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 am

    • Homers in loss
Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Reynolds got the Pirates on the board in the third inning with a two-run shot off Bryse Wilson, Pittsburgh's only two runs in the eventual defeat. It's the third homer of the year for Reynolds and his first extra-base hit in 13 games. The switch-hitting outfielder is now slashing .263/.386/.411 with 15 RBI, nine runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 25 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:14 am
    • Lasts just four innings in loss
Miller (3-2) took the loss against Texas on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five batters over four-plus innings.

Advice: Miller made it through three scoreless frames before the Rangers got to him for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. The right-hander did come back out to the mound for the fifth frame, but he was pulled after issuing a leadoff walk, having thrown 83 pitches to that point. Miller's three-game quality start streak was thus snapped, as was his three-game win streak. He'll try to get back on track the next time he takes the mound, which lines up for early next week versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:25 pm

    • Bryce Miller inefficient in loss to Rangers
Bryce Miller allowed two runs with five strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller worked around two walks in the first inning, striking out the side. He tossed two more scoreless innings before Adolis García and Evan Carter went back-to-back for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. Two more runners would reach in the inning on a walk and a base hit before Miller could escape the frame. He’d be done after four on 83 pitches, walking a season-high four batters while striking out five. The 25-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 2.22 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 29/11 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings. Miller is in line for a tough matchup against the Braves in Seattle on Monday.
