    • Stuck with loss
Kikuchi (2-4) took the loss Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks across six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Tuesday's performance marked Kikuchi's third quality start in his last four appearances. However, he owns a 0-2 record during that stretch as the Blue Jays have struggled offensively. The 33-year-old walked multiple batters for the first time since April 10 and was charged with two earned runs or fewer for the eighth time in 10 outings. On the year, Kikuchi owns a 2.64 ERA -- which would be a career-best tally -- with 61 strikeouts across 58.0 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers on Sunday. • Returning Wednesday
Dunning (shoulder) will be reinstated from the injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Phililes, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A right rotator cuff strain forced Dunning onto the injured list in early May, and he will now return to the Rangers' rotation after just a few days more than a minimum-length stay. It's unclear if he will be under an innings restriction during his first start back, although he has only pitched past the fifth inning once in his last five outings anyway. The 29-year-old righty owns a 4.10 ERA and 1.15 WHIP alongside a 43:17 K:BB across 37.1 innings this year. Rotowire.com Today, 6:59 pm

    • José Ramirez has two hits, HR in win over Mets
José Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez’s home run was a 380-foot shot off Adrian Houser at 101.5 mph off the bat for his 12th big fly of the season. He also added a two-out RBI double to give him 44 RBI on the season. The batting average may not be what fantasy managers are hoping for, but Ramirez is hitting the ball well and should be back to something resembling his usual triple slash in no time. • Dane Dunning starting Wednesday vs. Phillies
Dane Dunning (shoulder) will start on Wednesday against the Phillies.

Advice: Rangers manager Bruce Bochy confirmed late Tuesday that Dunning will be activated to take the ball in Philadelphia following a quick two-week absence due to a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld Today, 6:35 pm

    • Kikuchi lacks run support in loss to White Sox
Yusei Kikuchi allowed two earned runs over six innings in the Blue Jays’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Kikuchi was fine for much of the evening but gave up a two-RBI single to Corey Julks in the fifth inning, which looked like a devastating blow to a Blue Jays offense that managed just two hits on the night. Kikuchi’s record sits at 2-3 on the year despite a solid 2.64 ERA. The Jays entered the day as one of the worst run-scoring offenses in the league, making wins hard to come by for Kikuchi, who has yet to earn a win in May despite allowing just six earned runs over 24 1/3 innings on the month. He’ll have one more chance to get a win in May when he makes the start against the Tigers on Sunday. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm

    • Homer, three RBI in win
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: Ramirez extended Cleveland's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-out double before cranking a two-run homer off Adrian Houser in the fifth, his 12th of the year. The 31-year-old Ramirez has gone 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs and 13 RBI in his last eight contests. His slash line is up to .258/.305/.495 with 44 RBI, 31 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 210 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 pm

    • Joe Ryan tosses seven scoreless to beat Nats
Joe Ryan struck out six over seven shutout innings on Tuesday in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Ryan’s velocity was up across the board as his four-seam fastball had a little bit of extra life on it, which led to an impressive eight swinging strikes and a near-elite 39 percent CSW. He limited Washington’s lineup to just three hits and a pair of walks over seven stellar frames. The 27-year-old righty will bring a strong 3.15 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64/9 K/BB ratio across 60 innings (10 starts) into a home outing on Monday against the division-rival Royals. • Slated to play in ACL games
Robert (hip) will begin playing in Arizona Complex League games on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Robert has been on the shelf since April 6 due to a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain, but he now appears to be ready to test his hip in a competitive environment. The plan is for him to remain at the White Sox's complex in Arizona through the weekend before officially beginning an assignment with one of Chicago's minor-league affiliates next week. The team has not revealed how long they expect the 26-year-old outfielder to remain on assignment, but it's likely he returns to the Sox sometime in June. Rotowire.com Today, 2:45 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) ready for rehab contests
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) will play five innings on Wednesday in a Rookie-level Arizona Complex League contest.

Advice: The plan appears to be for Robert to get a couple games in this week out in Arizona before heading out on an official minor league rehab assignment next week. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar has been on the shelf since early April due to a Grade 2 hip flexor strain that was expected to keep him sidelined for at least 6-8 weeks. Barring any setbacks, he should return at some point in early June. Rotoworld Today, 2:30 pm
