    • Jake Burger goes 3-for-5 in win over Rangers
Jake Burger went 3-for-5 with a couple of runs scored Friday in the win over the Rangers.

Advice: Burger came into the night with a hideous .240 OBP, but the Marlins still had him hitting second in their lineup. Perhaps he’s starting to pull out of his slump; he has seven hits in his last three games, raising his average from .189 to .218. Rotoworld Friday, 7:02 pm

    • Josh Naylor collects two hits in loss to Rockies
Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Naylor brought a run in to score in the first inning with a groundout, then knocked a single in the third. He later doubled to lead off the sixth for his second hit of the day. The 26-year-old first baseman has slowed down considerably after a strong April. Still, eight of his 18 hits this month have left the yard. Naylor is hitting .240/.324/.515 with 15 homers and 41 RBI across 225 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:13 pm

    • Josh Naylor homers twice, drives in five in win
Josh Naylor hit two homers to drive in five runs and lead the Guardians to a 13-7 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: We’ve liked Naylor as a sleeper pick to lead the AL in RBI, but José Ramírez, batting one spot ahead of him, just isn’t cooperating thus far; Ramírez leads the majors with 56, while Naylor is third in the AL with 40. We’re still not sure whether Naylor has really gotten hot yet. On the one hand, his 15 homers in 52 games are just two fewer than he hit in 121 games last season. On the other, his .234 average is down 74 points from last year’s .308 mark. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:49 pm

    • Powers up in win
Naylor went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, five RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Naylor entered Tuesday 0-for-14 over his last three games, and he hadn't logged a multi-hit effort since May 9. Consider the slump busted, as the first baseman tagged starter Ryan Feltner for a two-run blast in the fifth inning before taking reliever Matt Carasiti deep with a three-run shot in the eighth. Naylor is already up to 15 homers through 52 contests this year, just five long balls shy of matching his career high from 2022. He's added a .234/.321/.510 slash line with 40 RBI, 30 runs scored and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:48 pm

    • Jake Burger leads Marlins past Diamondbacks
Jake Burger smacked a two-run single in the seventh inning on Saturday, helping to lead the Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The two sides entered the seventh inning embattled in a scoreless tie, until Bryan De La Cruz plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Burger then followed with a two-run knock off of Kevin Ginkel that extended the Marlins’ lead to 3-0. That would prove to be more than enough for Ryan Weathers and company in this one. The 28-year-old slugger finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .195/.234/.320 with four homers and 19 RBI on the season. Rotoworld May 26, 3:51 pm

    • Burger has three-hit game in loss Saturday
Jake Burger went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Burger hit .250 with 34 home runs last year. With the three hits on Saturday, his average is up to a paltry .194 on the season. While Burger doesn’t have a track record outside of last season, his career BABIP is .282 and his BABIP this year is much lower at .217. Burger is even striking out at a much lower rate this year with a 22 percent strikeout percentage compared to his career 28 percent strikeout percentage. His batting average should normalize eventually, which makes him a decent buy-low candidate. Rotoworld May 25, 10:13 pm

    • Smacks 13th homer
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Naylor entered Friday having gone 2-for-21 (.095) with five strikeouts over his last six contests. He snapped his power drought with a fourth-inning blast off Angels starter Patrick Sandoval. Naylor was one of the Guardians' most consistent hitters in April, but he's tailed off in May. He's slashing .247/.337/.517 with 13 homers, 35 RBI, 27 runs scored and three stolen bases over 202 plate appearances overall. Naylor occupies a spot in the heart of the lineup, giving him a solid floor for run production even when he's scuffling. Rotowire.com May 24, 10:42 pm

    • Homers in win
Burger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Burger has gone 8-for-63 (.127) over 16 games since he returned from an oblique injury, with Friday's effort being his second multi-hit game in that span. He's yet to find a rhythm at the plate, and he was slumping just before the injury too. Burger is slashing .175/.211/.300 with four homers, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored and three doubles over 128 plate appearances this season, though he remains in a starting role for a Marlins team that has no plans to contend in 2024. • Jake Burger clobbers homer in win over Arizona
Jake Burger hit a solo homer in the Marlins’ win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Burger shellacked a solo homer off Zac Gallen to give the Marlins a 3-0 lead. The 28-year-old has dealt with injuries in 2024 and hasn’t been successful even when on the field (.175/.211/.300), but he was one of the best infielders in baseball in the second half of 2024. Burger is a solid buy-low candidate for those looking for an upgrade at third/the corner-infield position. Rotoworld May 24, 8:43 pm
