      Yates (3-0) earned the win after he pitched two scoreless innings, allowing a walk while striking out two batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Royals.

      Advice: Yates entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Rangers trailing 2-1, and he was able to work around a walk to keep it a one-run deficit going into the ninth. After Texas tied it up at 2-2, the right-hander returned for the following frame, setting the Royals down in order. The Rangers went on to win in the 10th inning, earning Yates his third victory of the year.       Blanco allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during a win over Seattle.

      Advice: All the damage against Blanco came via the long ball, with Jorge Polanco going deep in the third inning followed by Dylan Moore in the fifth. Entering Friday's start, Blanco had given up just two homers through 32.2 frames. It was the first time this season he's allowed more than two runs in an outing but he still produced his fifth quality start. Blanco owns a terrific 2.09 ERA with a 36:16 K:BB.     • Ronel Blanco allows three over six against Seattle
      Ronel Blanco was charged for three runs over six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

      Advice: He gave up five hits while walking three and striking out six. Blanco gave up a pair of homers Friday, one of them being a solo shot by Jorge Polanco and the other a two-run homer by Dylan Moore. The right-hander exited with a 3-1 deficit, but the Astros were able to score four after he left to keep him off the hook.     • Stuck with loss Tuesday
      Lopez (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings.

      Advice: Lopez struck out the side to begin his night en route to tying his season-high in strikeouts. He pitched well overall, but there was not much he could do with Atlanta not scoring until the eighth inning. His one costly mistake came in the third after allowing a two-run blast to Jorge Polanco and the Mariners would tack on a third run in the fourth, which proved to be the deciding run in the game. Tuesday was the first time Lopez had failed to pitch at least six innings and surrender more than a run. He's now given up a home run in back-to-back outings. Still, the 30-year-old has been nothing short of spectacular through the first month, posting a 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB in 30 innings.     • Reynaldo López allows three over five in loss
      Reynaldo López allowed three runs in five innings while picking up a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

      Advice: López allowed six hits over those five frames, and he struck out seven while walking three with Josh Rojas getting all three free passes. The 30-year-old pitched better than his line suggested, but a two-run homer by Jorge Polanco turned an excellent outing into a shaky one from a fantasy perspective.     • Kirby Yates picks up fifth save versus Reds
      Kirby Yates turned in a scoreless ninth against the Reds for his fifth save on Sunday.

      Advice: Yates gave up a single and a walk, but he was able to strike out Jeimer Candelario and get a lineout to third from Luke Maile to end the game. He still hasn’t allowed a run in 12 innings this year. Rotoworld Apr 28, 3:42 pm

      Yates earned a save after he pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out a batter in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

      Advice: Yates was called upon to protect the team's 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning, working around a pair of baserunners to secure his fifth save of the season. The right-hander has now gone 5-for-5 in save opportunities this season while he has pitched 12 scoreless frames over his first 11 appearances in 2024.       Advice: The right-hander surrendered a two-run homer to Ryan McMahon in the opening frame but otherwise had no issues pitching at altitude in Mexico City. Blanco came up an out short of extending his streak of quality starts to five, but it was yet another strong performance.     • Ronel Blanco defeats Rockies to improve to 3-0
      Ronel Blanco improved to 3-0 on the season on Saturday, limiting the Rockies to two runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings in Mexico City.

      Advice: The right-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the evening while walking a pair of opposing hitters. He served up a one-out, two-run homer to Ryan McMahon in the opening inning, then went on cruise control from that point forward. Blanco generated a whopping 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the ballgame — nine on his cutter and eight on his changeup — while posting a strong CSW of 28 percent. He has been a tremendous addition to the Astros’ rotation this season, compiling a 1.65 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 30/14 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings through his first five starts.
