    • Placed on 15-day IL
Leiter was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain Sunday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Leiter last appeared in a game Wednesday versus the Giants, surrendering three runs on a hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He'll now likely be sidelined longer than the minimum stay on the injured list considering it's an injury to his throwing arm. In the meantime, Luke Little was called up from Triple-A Iowa to replace Leiter in the major-league bullpen Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:05 pm
    • Tanner Scott stays red-hot with save
Tanner Scott earned the save Sunday over the Mariners after allowing two hits and a walk. He also struck out one batter.

Advice: This was a shaky save for Scott as the Mariners put the tying run in scoring position. Luckily, Otto Lopez snagged a line drive off the bat of Julio Rodríguez that would have tied the game. Scott’s ERA sank to a minuscule 1.64 with this outing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm
    • Kyle Tyler lasts four innings in first start
Kyle Tyler allowed two runs in four innings Sunday against the Mariners. He walked three and struck out two in his first career start.

Advice: ‘Kyle Tyler’ feels like a name MLB The Show auto-generates for you when you’re 15 years deep into franchise mode. With that, Tyler was unspectacular despite a nice looking curveball. The Marlins have six starters on the IL so they’ll have to keep plugging this rotation with whoever they can find. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:24 pm
    • Battling sinus infection
Nunez hasn't pitched since June 15, and Mets manager Carlos Mendoza indicated earlier this week that the right-hander was dealing with a sinus infection, SNY reports.

Advice: After bouncing between Triple-A and the big-league roster in April and May, Nunez settled in following his latest promotion and is having a breakout campaign in the Mets' bullpen, posting a 2.04 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 26:3 K:BB through 17.2 innings while generating a 42.2 percent whiff rate with his slider. The 28-year-old has four holds on the season, all of which have come in his last six appearances as he works his way into a high-leverage role. Once he's recovered from the infection, Nunez could emerge as a top set-up man for closer Edwin Diaz. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:03 pm
    • Officially promoted ahead of start
The Marlins selected Tyler's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Advice: Tyler will be making his first career MLB start Sunday, taking the place of Braxton Garrett (forearm), who landed on the 15-day IL. The 27-year-old Tyler owns a 2.80 ERA and 1.18 WHIP through 45 innings in Triple-A, and he allowed one run in two innings during his only other MLB outing this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:39 am
    • Marlins bring up Kyle Tyler for Sunday spot start
Marlins selected the contract of RHP Kyle Tyler from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: Tyler isn’t a recommended streaming option for fantasy managers when he takes the ball for Sunday’s series finale against the Mariners. The 27-year-old righty has pitched well this season for Triple-A Jacksonville, but we’re going to need to see it at the highest level before fully trusting him, even in deeper mixed leagues. He could wind up sticking around for awhile with Braxton Garrett hitting the injured list with a forearm flexor tendon strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:22 am
    • Jalen Beeks gets win in relief vs. Nationals
Jalen Beeks fired 1 1/3 scoreless innings on Saturday to record a win in relief against the Nationals.

Advice: Beeks came on to record the final out of the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing by two runs at the time before coming out to spin a flawless ninth inning as well. Colorado’s lineup responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to give the veteran southpaw his fourth victory of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has excelled this year in his Rockies debut with six saves to accompany a serviceable 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29/16 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings (33 appearances). • Opening Sunday
Kelly will serve as the Red Sox's opening pitcher for Sunday's game against Cincinnati, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Kelly will make his second start of the season Sunday, likely throwing only 1-to-2 innings before handing the ball off. It's unclear if the Red Sox will commit to a full bullpen game or utilize a bulk reliever, though Chase Anderson would be the likely option to work extended innings behind Kelly if Boston elects to go that route. • Kyle Tyler tabbed to start for Marlins on Sunday
Kyle Tyler will be promoted from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday to start for the Marlins in their series finale against the Mariners.

Advice: The Marlins have dealt with an absolutely unrealistic number of injuries in their starting rotation this season, and with Braxton Garrett getting scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday they really don’t have anywhere else to turn. Tyler, 27, has made eight career appearances at the big-league level — all of them out of the bullpen. At Triple-A Jacksonville this season he has registered a 2.80 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 35/18 K/BB ratio across 45 innings in 10 appearances (eight starts). He can safely be avoided for fantasy purposes.
