    • Alec Bohm launches two run homer in win over Cubs
Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Phillies to a 5-3 victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Just a few hours after being named to the National League’s starting third baseman for the upcoming Midsummer Classic, the first All-Star Game selection of his career, Bohm took Cubs ace Shota Imanaga deep for a two-run blast -- his 11th round-tripper of the season -- to help the Phillies to a late-inning comeback victory. • Carlos Rodón fans eight, allows two homers in loss
Carlos Rodón struck out eight and allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Rodón struggled once again to keep the ball in the yard, serving up a two-run homer to Noelvi Marte in the second inning before coughing up a solo shot to Stuart Fairchild a couple frames later. He kept Cincinnati’s lineup in check otherwide, allowing just one additional hit and three walks. The most encouraging development here from a fantasy standpoint was that he piled up an eye-popping 15 swinging strikes, and finished with a 33 percent CSW, despite some diminished velocity across the board. There’s still some work to be done here, but Rodón didn’t look completely cooked in this one, which qualifies as an encouraging development. He’ll square off against the division-rival Rays on Tuesday in his next outing, Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
    • Brayan Bello whiffs seven in victory over Marlins
Brayan Bello recorded seven strikeouts and surrendered one run over 6 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Marlins.

Advice: Bello served up a run-scoring single to Jesús Sánchez in the opening frame, but managed to settle in shortly afterwards, keeping Miami off the scoreboard until the late innings of this one before turning things over to Boston’s bullpen with two outs in the seventh inning. It was a much-needed rebound performance for the 25-year-old righty after getting knocked around for seven runs over 2 1/3 innings his last time out against the Blue Jays. He’ll bring a pedestrian 5.19 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 71/30 K/BB ratio across 78 innings (15 starts) into an extremely favorable home matchup on Tuesday in his penultimate outing prior to the All-Star break. • Kyle Finnegan shuts down Mets for save
Kyle Finnegan worked a clean ninth inning on Wednesday to earn the save against the Mets.

Advice: Finnegan earned his 23rd save of the season, third most in the league, on Wednesday night. He looked sharp as he worked his third consecutive game and dropped his ERA down to 1.98. He’s been one of the most reliable closers in baseball so far this season. Rotoworld Today, 6:35 pm

    • Bryce Harper leads N.L. All-Star vote getters
Bryce Harper led all National League players in voting for the All-Star Game, getting named to his eighth All-Star team.

Advice: What remains unclear is whether or not Harper — who is currently stationed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, will be able to participate in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the National League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): C: William Contreras (2 - 1x starter), 1B: Bryce Harper (8 - 7x starter), 2B: Ketel Marte (2 - 2x starter), SS: Trea Turner (3 - 2x starter), 3B: Alec Bohm (1 - 1x starter), DH: Shohei Ohtani (4 - 4x starter), OF: Christian Yelich (3 - 2x starter), Jurickson Profar (1 - 1x starter) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (2 - 2x starter). • Sitting versus lefty
Marsh is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Southpaw Shota Imanaga is taking the mound Wednesday for Chicago, and the lefty-hitting Marsh will head to the bench. Johan Rojas will start in center field and bat eighth in Marsh's place. Rotowire.com Today, 2:18 pm
    • Struggles in non-save scenario
Miller allowed two earned runs on two hits and a walk over one inning in a 7-5 win over the Angels on Tuesday. He struck out two.

Advice: Miller had last seen action Friday, so manager Mark Kotsay opted to give his closer some work in what started as a low-leverage scenario. The fireballing right-hander inherited a 7-3 advantage going into the ninth inning and proceeded to retire two of the first three hitters he faced, but he subsequently allowed an RBI double and single to Nolan Schanuel and Luis Rengifo, respectively, to tighten matters up. Miller bore down and retired Taylor Ward on four pitches to put an end to the threat and the game, but not before allowing multiple earned runs for the first time since May 23. Despite the stumble, Miller has contributed a win and 14 saves to fantasy managers this season, accomplishing those marks with the help of a stellar 15.8 K/9. Rotowire.com Today, 9:52 am

    • Hit hard in Tuesday's loss
Cease (7-7) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up six runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings as the Padres fell 7-0 to the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander got no help from his offense, but Cease created his own problems by serving up six extra-base hits, including a pair of homers by Nathaniel Lowe. Cease has been tagged for four runs or more in three of his last four starts, walking multiple batters each time. He'll take a 4.24 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 130:32 K:BB through 102 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Today, 5:58 am
    • Perfect in non-save outing
Finnegan struck out one over a perfect inning in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Advice: Finnegan entered in the top of the ninth in a 2-2 game and fired a perfect frame. The 32-year-old has delivered four consecutive scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk over that stretch. Finnegan owns the third-most saves in baseball with 22. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 pm
