      Kikuchi (3-5) earned the win Thursday over Baltimore, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Kikuchi held the Orioles scoreless through his first five innings, ultimately allowing a lone run on an Adley Rutschman solo home run in the sixth. It was an encouraging rebound effort from the 32-year-old left-hander, who'd given up 10 earned runs over just 8.1 innings in his previous two outings. Kikuchi lowered his ERA to 3.48 on the campaign with a 1.22 WHIP and 71:15 K:BB across 13 starts (72.1 innings). Kikuchi is currently scheduled to face the Brewers on the road in his next outing.       Bobby Witt Jr. reached twice while stealing two bases in a 4-3 win for the Royals over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: Witt Jr. is now up to 19 thefts on the year. The speedy superstar is playing at an MVP level with a .317/.371/.560 slash, and has picked up hits in each game thus far in June. If 2025 drafts were held now — and they are decidedly not — it’d be hard to argue that he wouldn’t be the first pick in the overwhelming majority of leagues. Scary to think he’s still only 23, too.     • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swats three-run homer in win
      Vladimir Guerrero popped a three-run homer Thursday to help the Blue Jays to a win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Vladdy Jr. gave Cade Povich a rude introduction during Povich’s MLB debut with a three-run blast in the third. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and singled. Guerrero Jr. has made loads of hard contact and certainly has been a contributor in the average category with a .295 RBI, but it’s great to see the infielder start to drive the baseball on a more consistent basis as of late.     • Yusei Kikuchi bounces back with six strong in victory
      Yusei Kikuchi allowed just a run over six innings against the Orioles on Thursday to pick up a win.

      Advice: Kikuchi struck out six while scattering four hits with just one walk. It’s a vastly improved effort from the one Saturday against the Pirates when the southpaw allowed six runs on nine hits in that loss. Consistency has never been Kikuchi’s forte, but outside of a solo homer allowed to Adley Rutschman, this was a reminder of what the 32-year-old is capable of.       Royce Lewis is out of the starting lineup for Thursday’s series finale against the Yankees.

      Advice: It’s just a routine day off for the 25-year-old who’s working his way back from a pretty major quad injury. The third baseman has played in just three contests this season, but he's maximized his opportunities with a long ball in each of those games.       Judge went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and five RBI in Wednesday's 9-5 win against Minnesota.

      Advice: Judge broke the game open in the fifth inning, lacing a bases-loaded triple to left field to give New York a 7-0 lead. It was the slugger's first triple since 2019 and just the fifth of his career as a big-leaguer. Judge had already plated a run with a groundout in the first inning, and he added an RBI with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth frame to give him his first five-RBI performance of the campaign.     • Aaron Judge drives in five runs as Yanks top Twins
      Aaron Judge tripled, walked and drove in five runs on Wednesday night, propelling the Yankees to a 9-5 victory over the Twins.

      Advice: Judge got the scoring started in the ballgame with a run-scoring ground out off of Chris Paddack in the opening inning. He then smacked a bases-clearing three-run triple off of Diego Castillo in the fifth then scored on a sacrifice fly by Alex Verdugo. He also walked with the bases loaded in the sixth inning to force in another run that extended the Bombers’ lead to 9-2.
