    • Perfect for 12th save
Suarez earned the save Wednesday against the Cubs, striking out one across a perfect inning.

Advice: Suarez advanced to 12-for-12 on save chances this season, putting him in lockstep with Kyle Finnegan for the most saves in baseball. The former has allowed just seven hits on the season, and the lone run charged against him came via a home run back on March 28. Suarez hasn't allowed a hit in 5.2 innings. • Steps in to close out game
McArthur picked up the save Wednesday against the Brewers after a perfect two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: The ball was handed to Tyler Duffey for the ninth, but after Duffey walked two batters and gave up a double to Brice Turang, McArthur was forced to step in and close the door. The save snapped McArthur out of a two-game slump in which he allowed five runs (four earned) and was charged with two blown saves and two losses. McArthur now has eight saves on the season, which is tied for the fourth most in the AL. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:28 pm
    • Robert Suarez notches 12th save on Wednesday
Robert Suarez fired a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday against the Cubs to notch his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Suarez got the call to guard a three-run lead in the final frame and needed just 11 pitches (seven strikes) to spin a flawless frame. The hard-throwing 33-year-old stopper has converted all 12 of his save opportunities this season to accompany a microscopic 0.55 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 15/4 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings (15 appearances). Simply put, he’s emerged as one of the best closers in baseball, which has made him one of the best values in offseason fantasy drafts. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:17 pm

    • James McArthur gets two out save Wednesday vs Brewers
James McArthur converted a two-out save on Wednesday against the Brewers.

Advice: McArthur was summoned to record the final two outs in the ninth inning after Tyler Duffey gave up an RBI double to Brice Turang that put the potential tying runs in scoring position with only one out in the frame. He got William Contreras and Christian Yelich to both ground out harmlessly to put out the fire and preserve Kansas City’s victory. The 27-year-old righty has converted eight saves to go along with a 4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 18/3 K/BB ratio across 17 1/3 innings (15 appearances). Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:57 pm
    • Surrenders go-ahead homer
McArthur (1-2) took the loss and blew the save Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

Advice: For a second straight appearance, McArthur took the mound in the ninth with the Royals leading and surrendered a game-altering home run. This time, Willy Adames put the Brewers up 6-5 with a three-run shot that plated William Contreras and Gary Sanchez with two outs. Despite blowing back-to-back saves, fantasy managers shouldn't panic about McArthur, considering he hadn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances prior to the stretch. • James McArthur allows three-run homer to blow save
James McArthur took his second straight blown save after giving up a three-run homer to Willy Adames against the Brewers on Tuesday.

Advice: This was worse than Sunday, when he gave up one run in the ninth. McArthur still has a nice 18/3 K/BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings and the homer was only the second he’s given up, so he should be safe for now. That said, it’d be bad if he blew another one right away. John Schreiber is surely next in line for save chances in Kansas City right now. It still doesn’t look like John McMillon, who has been terribly wild in Triple-A, will be a factor anytime soon. • Robert Suarez notches five-out save against Cubs
Robert Suarez recorded a five-out save on Monday against the Cubs.

Advice: Suarez was tasked with protecting a three-run lead upon entering the eighth inning of Monday’s series opener at Wrigley Field for his first appearance since last Wednesday. The hard-throwing 33-year-old righty struck out Yan Gomes and retired Nico Hoerner to extinguish a bases-loaded threat in the eighth before coming back out to toss a perfect final frame. He’s converted all 11 of his save opportunities this season to go along with a microscopic 0.59 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio across 15 1/3 innings (14 appearances). • Converts five-out save
Suarez struck out three batters over 1.2 perfect frames and earned a save over the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Suarez was called into a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the eighth inning and quickly steamrolled the Cubs in order to finish off the game. He matched his longest outing of the year while firing 14 of 20 pitches for strikes. Suarez has been nearly perfect this season; he's 1-0 with a 0.59 ERA while converting each of his 11 save chances. The 33-year-old is currently riding a 13-inning scoreless streak. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:27 pm

    • James McArthur blows save in ninth, loses in 10th
James McArthur took a blown save and a loss after allowing two runs — one earned — between the ninth and 10th innings Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur blew the save by giving up a game-tying homer to Jonah Heim in the ninth. In spite of that, the Royals stuck with him in the 10th. He allowed only the automatic runner to score, but the Royals couldn’t let him off the hook from there. It’s not the kind of outing that will reflect particularly badly on him. He’s still 7-for-9 saving games, and the loss was his first. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:57 pm
