    • Smacks third homer
Duvall went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Cubs while also being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Duvall jumped on a four-seamer from Justin Steele in the top of the third and crushed it 423 feet into the stands in center field to give Atlanta an early 2-0 lead. The outfielder would then come around to score for a second time on a sac fly in the seventh after being hit by a pitch, marking only the second time this season in which he's scored two runs in a game. The home run was Duvall's third of the campaign and first since April 23 against the Marlins, while the two RBI were also his first in the month of May. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago
    • Ryne Nelson shuts down Dodgers over five innings
Ryne Nelson tossed five shutout innings with five strikeouts in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Brandon Hughes had recorded the first two outs of the game as the opener. Nelson came in for the final out and shut down the Dodgers over five frames, scattering five hits and three walks with five strikeouts to earn the win. The 26-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 6.03 ERA, 1.83 WHIP, and a 28/10 K/BB ratio across 34 1/3 innings. His next outing should come against the Rangers in Texas next week. • JJ Bleday slugs solo homer in loss to Rockies
JJ Bleday went 1-for-5 with a solo homer against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Bleday took Austin Gomber deep for a solo shot in the fourth inning, putting the A’s only run on the board. The 26-year-old outfielder is having a solid season at the dish for Oakland, slashing .247/.321/.454 with six homers and 19 RBI across 194 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:55 pm

    • Jalen Beeks blows save in Oakland
Jalen Beeks allowed one run in the ninth inning to blow the save chance against the Athletics.

Advice: Beeks was summoned to close out the game with a one-run lead in the ninth inning. A single and a walk put a runner in scoring position with two outs before Zack Gelof knocked a base hit to drive in the game-tying run. Beeks was able to keep the game tied to send it to extras. The 30-year-old left-hander is now 4-for-6 in save chances with a 2.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 16/12 K/BB ratio across 22 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:53 pm

    • Austin Gomber holds A’s to one run over eight
Austin Gomber tossed eight innings of one-run ball with six strikeouts in a no-decision against the Athletics on Wednesday.

Advice: Gomber was excellent against the A’s, holding them to one run over eight innings of work. The one mistake was a solo homer by JJ Bleday in the fourth inning. Gomber scattered four more hits and struck out six batters with no walks allowed. He was saddled with a no-decision after a blown save in the ninth. The 30-year-old left-hander will take an impressive 2.76 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and a 41/17 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings into a start against the Guardians in Colorado on Monday. • Mitch Spence goes three innings against Rockies
Mitch Spence allowed two runs with four strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Spence served up a two-run homer to Elias Díaz in the first inning. He then loaded the bases before he was able to escape the inning. Spence loaded the bases once again in the third, but was able to keep the Rockies off the board. He was done after three innings at 70 pitches, scattering five hits and three walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 30/11 K/BB ratio across 33 innings. He’s in line for a start against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. • Three hits in Wednesday's win
Bailey went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 9-5 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

Advice: This was Bailey's first start since he was activated from the concussion injured list Tuesday. He appeared off the bench in that contest, going 0-for-1. Bailey went on the IL twice due to the concussion, but he looks to have the all-clear this time and should resume a starting role behind the plate over Curt Casali. Bailey is slashing .295/.350/.466 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and one stolen base across 101 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Gets aboard six times Wednesday
Wade went 3-for-3 with three walks, one RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 9-5 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

Advice: This was Wade's first three-hit game of the year, as well as his second three-walk effort. It's arguably the best example of what he's brought to the table in 2024 -- decent contact hitting and remarkable patience at the plate. Wade is batting .340 with a 19:12 BB:K over 19 games in May. For the season, the first baseman is at a .336/.484/.431 slash line with two home runs, 16 RBI, 20 runs scored, five doubles and one stolen base over 153 plate appearances. Wade briefly saw a full-time role earlier in the month when Jorge Soler was on the injured list, but since Soler's return, Wade has returned to a strong-side platoon with Wilmer Flores at first base. • Picks up fourth win
Walker (4-2) pitched a perfect inning and struck out one, earning the extra-inning win over the Pirates on Wednesday.

Advice: Walker kept the game tied in the ninth inning, and the Giants' offense exploded in the 10th to make him the pitcher of record. The right-hander has stumbled a little recently, allowing two runs over his last five innings, but he also has a 7:0 K:BB and three holds in that span. Walker is getting the job done with a 2.42 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 36:4 K:BB over 26 innings this season. He's added seven holds and one blown save while not seeing a lot of late-inning work, but his elite strikeout numbers make him an interesting option in all NL-only formats and some deeper mixed leagues as well.
