    • Ryan Jeffers out Sunday against Blue Jays
Ryan Jeffers is not in the starting lineup versus the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Jeffers will get Sunday off for the series finale against the Jays. Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 am
    • Sitting Sunday
Turner is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against Minnesota.

Advice: Turner will get a day off in the series finale as the Blue Jays hand Daniel Vogelbach a start at designated hitter in his stead. The 39-year-old has gone hitless over his last three games and is 3-for-30 with two runs and one RBI in May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:58 am

    • Justin Turner not starting Sunday against Twins
Justin Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Twins.

Advice: Turner went 0-for-9 in the first two games of the series against the Twins and is hitting just .100 with a .229 OPS in the month of May. The 39-year-old grabs a seat on the bench for the finale with Daniel Vogelbach hitting sixth and operating as the designated hitter. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:35 am

    • Jarren Duran hitting eighth against southpaw
Jarren Duran is hitting eighth and playing left field Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Duran normally hits leadoff for the Red Sox, and while he has gotten on at a .402 clip against southpaws in 2024, he’s picked up just one extra-base hit and slugged .302 against pitchers from that side. He’ll move down in the order with Romy Gonzalez hitting leadoff and handling shortstop duties. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:29 am
    • Getting breather Sunday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Jeffers looks to be getting a rest in the series finale after he started in each of the Twins' previous three games while going 2-for-11 with a pair of home runs and one walk. Christian Vazquez will spell Jeffers behind the dish. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:59 am
    • Launches homer in win
Henderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Henderson regained a share of the major-league lead with his 12th homer of the campaign, putting him in a tie with Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna and Houston's Kyle Tucker. While he's hit two homers over the last three games, Henderson has just three multi-hit efforts in May, a month that's seen him go 8-for-34 (.235) over nine contests. It's little to be concerned about considering how well he's played overall -- he has a .278/.355/.583 slash line with 27 RBI, 30 runs scored and six stolen bases over 38 games. • Yainer Diaz has two hits, RBI in loss to Tigers
Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI as the Astros fell to the Tigers on Saturday night in Detroit.

Advice: Diaz delivered a run-scoring single off of Tarik Skubal in the fourth inning that pulled the Astros to within five runs at 7-2. That would be as close as they would get. With the two-hit attack, the 25-year-old backstop is now hitting .273/.309/.403 to go along with three homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 5:53 pm

    • Gunnar Henderson homer helps O’s top D-Backs
Gunnar Henderson homered in a victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday in 11 innings.

Advice: Henderson hit a solo blast of Ryne Nelson in the fifth inning. That’s the 12th homer for the second-year shortstop, and he’s driven in 27 runs over the Orioles’ first 37 games of the year. Henderson has played at a star level for much of 2024, and there’s plenty of reason to believe there’ll be way more good than bad for the infielder for the rest of the season and beyond. • Finding stride at plate
Acuna went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Mets.

Advice: He took Jose Quintana deep in the third inning, part of a four-run frame for Atlanta. Acuna may be turning things around at the plate -- after posting a 26.5 percent strikeout rate in April, he's fanned just 19.4 percent of the time through the first seven games in May. He's also batting .310 (9-for-29) to begin the month with two of his three homers on the season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:31 am
