    • Day off Wednesday
Garver is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Garver looks to be getting a routine day off for the series finale. With Garver on the bench, Cal Raleigh will serve as Seattle's designated hitter, while Seby Zavala steps in as the Mariners' starting catcher. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 am
    • Sitting out Wednesday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the White Sox.

Advice: Jeffers had started each of the last seven contests (four at designated hitter and three at catcher) but will get some rest Wednesday. Christian Vazquez will catch for starting pitcher Bailey Ober as the Twins attempt to win their 10th straight game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 am
    • Wins game with walk-off homer
Garver went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in a 2-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: It's been a rough season for Garver, as he's slashing just .150/.266/.313 through 94 plate appearances. However, Seattle has stuck with him as the team's primary DH, and that decision paid off Monday when he launched a two-run, ninth-inning shot to give the Mariners a come-from-behind win. Garver could be building a bit of momentum, as he's gone deep in two of his past four games. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:57 pm
    • Mitch Garver hits walk-off homer to beat Atlanta
Mitch Garver hit a walk-off two-run homer to give Seattle a 2-1 win over Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Garver has easily his biggest hit as a member of the Mariners. The 33-year-old DH took a 3-2 offering from AJ Minter deep into the left-field stands with the team trailing by a run in the bottom of the ninth to give Seattle an improbable victory. Garver has been awful in 2024 with a .150 average, but it didn’t matter tonight. It likely won’t matter as long as he can stay healthy; the offensive track-record suggests more good things are coming. Rotoworld Monday, 9:15 pm
    • Knocks three hits
Jeffers went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Jeffers knocked a double in the fourth inning followed by an RBI single in the fifth. He capped off his day with an RBI sacrifice fly in the eighth. He's collected multiple hits in three of his last five games, and Sunday was his second three-hit performance of the year. Jeffers boosted his slash line to .305/.392/.561 with 11 extra-base hits and 17 RBI through 97 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:13 pm
    • Homers, extends hitting streak
Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Saturday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Jeffers recorded a single in his second at-bat to extend his hitting streak to six games and then added a two-run homer in the top of the ninth as the Twins ran away with the win. The catcher has now homered in two of his last three contests and has recorded at least one RBI in three straight. All five of his home runs have come in April, where he's batting .333 with 16 RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:47 am
    • Mitch Garver swats solo homer against D-Backs
Mitch Garver hit a solo homer in a victory Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Both Mitch’s did well for the Mariners on Friday, as Mitch Haniger hit a grand slam to go along with Garver’s shot. It’s just the second homer of the season for the 33-year-old, as he’s been awful to begin 2024 as seen in a slash of .143/.265/.271. Based on his previous seasons, it seems very likely those numbers bounce back in the coming weeks, if not sooner. Rotoworld Friday, 9:02 pm
    • Undergoes thumb operation
Alvarez underwent surgery on his left thumb Tuesday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Alvarez was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a torn UCL in his left thumb and he will now officially begin the road to recovery. The Mets said Tuesday that the catcher is expected to miss eight weeks of action while recovering from the surgery, which likely means that Alvarez will be on the shelf until late June. In the meantime, Omar Narvaez and Tomas Nido will continue to split the work behind the plate for New York. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 4:48 pm

    • Francisco Alvarez out eight weeks after surgery
Francisco Alvarez will miss eight weeks after undergoing surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb.

Advice: The official timetable puts Alvarez’s potential return, barring any setbacks, at some point in mid-June. The 22-year-old backstop suffered the injury during last Friday’s contest when he slipped while rounding first base. It’ll be veteran Omar Narváez handling the catching duties for New York in his absence. Rotoworld Tuesday, 4:34 pm
