    Corbin came away with a no-decision in Friday's 9-3 win over the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

    Advice: Toronto jumped on Corbin for a three-spot in the second inning, but the veteran lefty settled down after that and kept his team in the game, and they responded by taking him off the hook for a loss by rallying for eight runs in the seventh and eighth. The quality start was Corbin's first of the season, and it was just the second time in seven outings that he allowed fewer than four runs. The 34-year-old's contract -- $35 million for 2024 in the final year of his deal -- has kept him in the Nats rotation, but his 6.45 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 37.2 innings don't belong on a fantasy roster.     Advice: Keller gave up five hits with two walks, and he struck out five. He gave up a pair of run-scoring doubles to Nolan Arenado, but outside of that, the 28-year-old pitched solidly for the most part.     Brandon Marsh had a two-run single and a stolen base Friday as the Phillies edged the Giants 4-3.

    Advice: Marsh is still in a little rut that’s seen him go 3-for-19 with no extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts in his last six games. He got off to a fast start last year, only to cool off in May.   • Aaron Nola pulled after four versus Giants
    Aaron Nola was lifted after allowing two runs and walking four in four innings Friday against the Giants.

    Advice: A really odd start for Nola, who pretty much always lasts five innings unless he’s truly bad or hurt. Tonight, though, he walked four for the second time this season — he did that just once between 2022 and ’23 — and the Phillies didn’t think it was worth sending him back out for the fifth at 89 pitches. They were probably right, too, as the bullpen went on to allowing one run over five innings in a 4-3 win. Nola’s velocity is down, and he’s struggled to generate as many missed swings as usual. The hope is that he’ll get stronger, and he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt, given his history.   • José Alvarado notched sixth save for Phillies
    José Alvarado threw a scoreless ninth in a one-run game for his sixth save Friday against the Giants.

    Advice: Alvarado gave up five runs on Opening Day and remained wild for a spell after that, but he’s walked just one in his last nine appearances and given up one run in 14 appearances.     Jordan Hicks gave up four runs — two earned — and walked four in four innings Friday in a loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Improved control has been a big key for Hicks in his successful run in the Giants rotation, but this is the second time in his last three starts that he’s walked four batters, giving him14 walks in 38 innings for the year. The right-hander needed just eight pitches — seven of those strikes — against a Chicago team that looked like it wanted to be anywhere else.     Sonny Gray didn’t allow a run over seven innings with six strikeouts to help the Cardinals to a 3-0 victory over the White Sox on Saturday.

    Advice: Gray was outstanding against a White Sox lineup that shouldn’t be legal. The right-hander gave up just three hits over those seven frames, and he issued one walk while throwing 65-of-94 pitches for strikes.
