    • Freddy Peralta allows eight hits, five runs in loss
Freddy Peralta was charted for five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Advice: Both Hunter Brown and Peralta gave up all of their damage via the long-ball in this contest, and in Peralta’s case, he gave up a two-run homer to Jake Meyers and a three-run blast to Jeremy Peña. Outside of those blasts the right-hander was mostly effective, but damage done. It’s the second time in five starts he’s allowed at least five runs, and a 1.90 ERA on April 19 has ballooned to 4.17. He’ll look to get back on track against the Marlins next week. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Aaron Judge homers again in win
Aaron Judge went 1-for-1 with a solo home run and three walks in a win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Judge has been retired just once in three games as his scalding hot streak continues. He has six home runs in his last 46 at-bats and his .981 OPS is suddenly sixth among all qualified hitters. Rotoworld Today, 7:06 pm

    • Can't overcome rough first inning
Miller (3-4) took the loss Friday against the Orioles, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out one.

Advice: All of the damage against Miller came in the first inning, when the Orioles put up five runs before the right-hander could record an out. Miller would settle in and blank Baltimore over his final 4.1 frames, allowing just two more hits, though the Mariners couldn't climb out of the early hole in an eventual 9-2 defeat. The 24-year-old Miller has been solid this year overall, holding opponents to two runs or fewer in six of his nine starts. He sports a 3.08 ERA with a 0.99 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB across 52.2 innings this season. Miller is currently lined up for a tough road matchup with the Yankees in his next outing. • Bryce Miller hit hard in loss to Orioles on Friday
Bryce Miller was hit hard in Friday night’s loss to the Orioles, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits across 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler walked one and recorded only one strikeout on the night. The Orioles jumped on him early and often in this one, with Gunnar Henderson blasting a leadoff home run to start a five-run uprising in the opening inning. Miller settled in nicely afterwards, but the damage had already been done. He got just six swings and misses on 86 pitches in the contest, posting an underwhelming CSW of only 22 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he totes an impressive 3.08 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and a 52/16 K/BB ratio (52 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Yankees in New York. • Alek Thomas (hamstring) making progress again
Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters on Friday that Alek Thomas (hamstring) is making progress and will ramp up his baseball activities soon.

Advice: Thomas had been days away from a potential return from the injured list when he suffered a setback and experienced renewed discomfort in his left hamstring. There’s no clear timetable for his return at the moment, but it seems likely that he’ll require a minor league rehab assignment before he does come back. Rotoworld Today, 4:50 pm

    • Held out again Friday
Nimmo (illness) remains out of the lineup for Friday's contest in Miami.

Advice: Nimmo was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup due to a stomach bug and he's evidently still not feeling well enough to play. With Nimmo resting, the Mets will go with Tyrone Taylor in left field and in the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Today, 12:52 pm

    • Dominant in win
Javier (3-1) earned the win over the Athletics on Wednesday, pitching six shutout innings while allowing two hits and one walk. He struck out eight.

Advice: Javier came out firing Thursday, striking out five of the first eight batters he faced before finishing with a season-high eight punchouts on the night. The right-hander threw first-pitch strikes to only nine of the 21 batters he faced, but he also produced 15 whiffs as he cruised to his third win of the season. It was a nice return to form for Javier, who was shelled for seven runs in his first start after returning from the injured list a week ago. The quality start was his third of the campaign, while it also marked the second time this season he's allowed two or fewer hits in an outing. Rotowire.com Today, 4:08 am
    • Hit hard again
Steele (0-1) took the loss against the Pirates on Thursday, surrendering five runs on six hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The Pirates tagged Steele for two runs in the top of the first on a two-run shot from Edward Olivares and proceeded to tack on runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The lefty produced only one 1-2-3 inning on the night and allowed at least five runs for the second consecutive start. Steele has yet to make it through six innings in a start this year, though he did record a season-high seven strikeouts in Thursday's loss. Rotowire.com Today, 3:43 am

    • Javier picks up third win vs. A’s
Cristian Javier struck out eight in six shutout innings and picked up the win in the Astros’ 8-1 victory over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Javier allowed only two hits and a walk. It was a good bounce back start for him after he had allowed seven runs against the Tigers in his last start. Javier lowered his ERA to 3.23 on the season. He’ll face the Angels at home in his next start. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:57 pm
