      Advice: Soto left Thursday’s game with inflammation in his forearm, and there was some speculation that the outfielder could be available off the bench for Friday’s contest. Several possibilities passed where Soto could have entered, but Boone kept the outfielder on the bench.       Bryan De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double Friday to lead the Marlins to a 3-2 win over the Guardians.

      Advice: De La Cruz’s hits all left his bat at over 102 mph. He’s batting .252/.306/.427 for the season, which is certainly good enough to keep him in the Marlins lineup but isn’t great for someone who has turned out to be a pretty bad left fielder (he’s currently DHing about two-thirds of the time).       Brayan Rocchio supplied both Guardians runs with his first big-league homeer Friday in a loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: The homer came in his 276th career plate appearance. He has 192 so far this year, and he’s driven in a total of 11 runs. On the plus side, his defensive numbers have improved in recent weeks, and thanks to a fine 12% walk ate, his .314 OBP isn’t dreadful.       Advice: Abrams’ steal was his ninth of the season. After racking up 47 steals last year, fantasy managers sure would like to see him run more this year.       Advice: Westburg’s home run was his 10th of the season. He hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to give the Orioles a 6-3 lead.
