• Richie Palacios hits two-run homer in win
Richie Palacios went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Rays win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Palacios has become a highly productive lineup fixture for the Rays, only sitting against three right-handed pitchers this season. The home run was his fourth along with six stolen bases. Friday also marked his ninth start at second base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 pm
  • Pops fourth homer
Fry went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Fry put Cleveland ahead with his 364-foot, two-run home run in the sixth inning off reliever Steven Okert. The 28-year-old utility man has been especially hot since the calendar turned to May, hitting .366 (11-for-30) this month. Over 95 plate appearances this season, Fry is slashing .333/.453/.560 with four homers, 15 runs scored and 14 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:46 pm

  • Dylan Moore clubs solo homer in loss to Orioles
Dylan Moore clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Friday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Mariners past the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Moore led off the game by smacking the first pitch thrown by John Means for a double into left field. He then came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Mitch Garver. The versatile 31-year-old then tattooed a 405-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot in the fifth inning that pulled the M’s to within three runs at 5-2. Moore finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .221/.314/.433 to go with four homers, 14 RBI and six stolen bases through his first 35 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm

  • Back in starting lineup
Heyward (back) is starting in right field and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Reds, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Heyward appeared in just five games for the Dodgers, going 3-for-14 with two RBI before landing on the 10-day injured list April 3 due to lower-back tightness. It took about a month for the 34-year-old to return to baseball activities, and he appeared in two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City earlier in the week, going 0-for-6 with one walk and two strikeouts. The move corresponds with Max Muncy being placed on the 10-day IL with a right oblique strain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:22 pm
  • Dodgers activate Jason Heyward (back) from IL
Dodgers activated OF Jason Heyward from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: As anticipated, the 34-year-old slugger will slot right back into the Dodgers’ lineup on Friday night — starting in right field and batting eighth against Reds’ right-hander Frankie Montas. No word yet on the corresponding move to activate Heyward, but it’s definitely not Andy Pages, who is starting in center field and batting seventh for the Dodgers on Friday night. • Heyward (back) done with rehab
Jason Heyward (back) has finished rehabbing his lower back issue that has sidelined him since late March.

Advice: Heyward was with the team at Dodgers Stadium on Thursday and manager Dave Roberts told reporters he will be activated soon. It remains a question what the corresponding move for Heyward’s activation will be. Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor have both struggled this season, but they can also play multiple positions and Taylor is owed $13 million in 2025. James Outman was a revelation last year, but he has options remaining and is hitting .147 this year. Outman could be the de facto choice. Heyward slashed .269/.340/.473 in 124 games with the Dodgers last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:58 am
  • Return imminent
Heyward (back) rejoined the Dodgers on Thursday but was not activated from the injured list, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Heyward began a rehab assignment Tuesday and appeared in two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, during which he went 0-for-6. Manager Dave Roberts said Heyward is ready to return soon, so it's likely he'll be activated at some point during the Dodgers' weekend series against the Reds. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:18 pm
  • Sits down Thursday
Fairchild isn't in the Reds' lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Fairchild has gone 3-for-16 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored since the beginning of May. He will sit on the bench for the third game in a row Thursday while Conner Capel, Will Benson and Jake Fraley man the outfield. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:41 pm
  • Angels activate Luis Rengifo for Friday return
Angels activated INF/OF Luis Rengifo from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The Angels tried to keep Rengifo on the active roster, but after he missed five games, they decided to put him on the injured list last Thursday. A week later, he’s returning to the fold and should likely remain an everyday player for the Angels given how banged up their lineup is. Niko Goodrum was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Rotoworld Thursday, 10:35 am
