• Martín Pérez struggles with command vs SF
Martín Pérez allowed four runs (two runs) on five hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Giants.

Advice: Pérez struck out four but walked three on the day. He started just 10 of the 22 batters he faced with a first-pitch strike and had a zone rate of 36 percent overall which is not good. It led to a 19 percent CSW on the day, and he’s lucky the final line wasn’t much worse. He’ll take a 4.80 ERA into a weekend showdown against the Braves and should not be started in fantasy leagues. • Trevor Megill rebounds with save Tuesday vs. Fish
Trevor Megill fired a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Marlins to record his seventh save of the season.

Advice: Megill got the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and needed just 14 pitches (11 strikes) to slam the door. It was a much-needed bounce-back after suffering his first blown save of the season during Monday’s series opener at loan Depot park. The 30-year-old righty has converted seven of his eight save chances so far filling in for an injured Devin Williams. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm
  • Rejoining rotation Wednesday
Pepiot (lower leg) will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old righty landed on the shelf with a bruised lower left leg after his May 5 start versus the Mets, but he'll return Wednesday after being sidelined for the 15-day minimum. Any workload limitations for Pepiot will likely be minor, given the brevity of his absence. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:22 pm

  • Cash: Ryan Pepiot starting Wednesday vs. Red Sox
Ryan Pepiot (leg) will start on Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Pepiot will be activated to take the ball on Wednesday against Boston after landing on the injured list earlier this month with a leg bruise after being hit by a 107.5 mph comebacker. The 26-year-old righty gets a decent matchup right away against the Red Sox at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:42 pm

  • Opts for free agency
Crismatt elected free agency Friday after refusing an outright assignment to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Crismatt accepted an outright assignment by the Dodgers once earlier this season but decided not to do it a second time. He holds a 2.57 ERA and 6:0 K:BB over seven innings in the majors this season and is now free to sign with another organization. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:07 am
  • Slated to return Wednesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Tuesday in an interview with Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that Kahnle (shoulder) will be activated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Advice: Boone noted that while he won't use Kahnle on back-to-back days initially, the plan is to deploy the reliever in high-leverage situations right away. Kahnle has been out all season due to a right shoulder injury that dates back to last year. He struck out 11 over five perfect innings on his rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 am

  • Blows save against Miami
Megill blew the save in Monday's loss to the Marlins. He allowed one run on two hits and no walks over one inning while striking out one.

Advice: Megill gathered the first two outs of the ninth inning on three pitches before yielding a single to Nick Gordon. Gordon promptly stole second and then was subsequently driven home via an Otto Lopez single to tie the game. This is Megill's first blown save of the season, so he should maintain his role as the Milwaukee closer. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:12 pm
  • Trevor Megill takes blown save Monday vs. Marlins
Trevor Megill allowed one run in the ninth inning on Monday against the Marlins in a blown save.

Advice: Megill got the call to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and wound up surrendering a game-tying single to Otto Lopez with two outs in the frame. It was only his first blown save of the season in seven opportunities. The 30-year-old righty figures to continue serving as Milwaukee’s primary stopper until Devin Williams is ready to return sometime around midseason. Rotoworld Monday, 7:03 pm
  • Locks down eighth save
Doval struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Doval extended his scoreless streak to 4.1 innings. He needed 17 pitches (10 strikes) Sunday, but he was able to emerge with his eighth save in as many chances this season. The closer has a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB over 18 innings and has also posted a 2-0 record this season. The Giants haven't generated a ton of save opportunities, but Doval has been strong when called upon. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:04 pm
