    • Luke Raley out Thursday with lat soreness
Luke Raley is not in the lineup for Thursday’s showdown against the Astros due to lat soreness.

Advice: The Mariners want to give Raley a chance to rest, so he’ll take a seat with Mitch Garver at DH and Mitch Haniger sliding to right field. Raley started the month hot, but he’s now gone 1-for-21 over his last seven games. Hopefully, the lat is the main reason behind the mini-slump, so a night or two off will allow him to get back on track. Rotoworld Thursday, 10:41 am

    • Not among starting nine
Raley is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.

Advice: It's the first time since May 7 that Raley wasn't in the lineup when the Mariners were facing a right-hander. Seattle is going with Dominic Canzone and Mitch Haniger as its corner outfield duo against Spencer Arrighetti. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:07 am

    • Andrew Vaughn hitting clean-up on Monday
Andrew Vaughn will bat clean-up for the White Sox on Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Vaughn has moved all around the lineup but has usually hit second or third in the order. With both Luis Robert Jr. and Eloy Jimenez out, the White Sox are looking for anybody to fill the middle of the order. While Vaughn’s average hasn’t been great this year, he does have four home runs and a .400 slugging percentage in May which is an upgrade from April where he had no home runs and just a .238 slugging percentage. Obviously, there’s still a long way to go, but it’s nice to see Vaughn taking slow steps in the right direction. Rotoworld Monday, 8:26 am

    • Drives in two in win
Lowe went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over Minnesota.

Advice: Lowe had a pair of run-producing singles, his first multi-hit game since May 8. The first baseman entered Sunday with just six hits over the last 49 at-bats (.122). That slump prompted manager Bruce Bochy to drop Lowe to sixth in order against right-handers this past week. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:21 am

    • Jake Burger leads Marlins past Diamondbacks
Jake Burger smacked a two-run single in the seventh inning on Saturday, helping to lead the Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The two sides entered the seventh inning embattled in a scoreless tie, until Bryan De La Cruz plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Burger then followed with a two-run knock off of Kevin Ginkel that extended the Marlins’ lead to 3-0. That would prove to be more than enough for Ryan Weathers and company in this one. The 28-year-old slugger finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .195/.234/.320 with four homers and 19 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:51 pm

    • Hitting bench versus lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Raley will exit the starting nine for the series finale while the Nationals bring southpaw Patrick Corbin to the hill. With fellow lefty-hitting outfielder Dominic Canzone also hitting the bench, the Mariners will go with Jonathan Clase and Mitch Haniger in the corner-outfield spots. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:17 am

    • Luke Raley sitting Sunday against Nationals
Luke Raley is not in the lineup for Sunday’s finale against the Nationals.

Advice: Raley will get the day off against southpaw Patrick Corbin. Jonatan Clase will start in left field and hit ninth while Raley gets a break. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:51 am

    • Burger has three-hit game in loss Saturday
Jake Burger went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Burger hit .250 with 34 home runs last year. With the three hits on Saturday, his average is up to a paltry .194 on the season. While Burger doesn’t have a track record outside of last season, his career BABIP is .282 and his BABIP this year is much lower at .217. Burger is even striking out at a much lower rate this year with a 22 percent strikeout percentage compared to his career 28 percent strikeout percentage. His batting average should normalize eventually, which makes him a decent buy-low candidate. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:13 pm

    • Andrew Vaughn homers, doubles against Orioles
Andrew Vaughn had a solo homer, an RBI double and a walk Friday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Vaughn had dipped again recently, entering tonight in a 1-for-20 slump. He definitely seems to be swinging better now than he was a month ago, but he’s probably not going to get to the point at which he overcomes being part of such a bad offense in order to contribute in mixed leagues.
