    • Yields three runs
Blanco allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the win over Seattle.

Advice: All the damage against Blanco came via the long ball, with Jorge Polanco going deep in the third inning followed by Dylan Moore in the fifth. Entering Friday's start, Blanco had given up just two homers through 32.2 frames. It was the first time this season he's allowed more than two runs in an outing but he did produce his fifth quality start. Blanco owns a terrific 2.09 ERA with a 36:16 K:BB. His next start is lined up to be on the road against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Altuve drives in run, steals base in win over M’s
Jose Altuve went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a win Friday over the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve hit a perfect safety squeeze to knock in his 12th run of the game and give Houston a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning. The steal was the seventh of the season and 300th of his career. Altuve has been sensational thus far in 2024, and is playing near — if not at — the MVP level he reached not all that long ago. • Ronel Blanco allows three over six against Seattle
Ronel Blanco was charged for three runs over six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: He gave up five hits while walking three and striking out six. Blanco gave up a pair of homers Friday, one of them being a solo shot by Jorge Polanco and the other a two-run homer by Dylan Moore. The right-hander exited with a 3-1 deficit, but the Astros were able to score four after he left to keep him off the hook. Blanco will take a 2.09 ERA into his next start which is scheduled for Thursday against the Yankees. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:05 pm

    • Fades late in loss
Perez (1-2) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings as the Pirates fell 3-2 to the Rockies. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: The veteran lefty was engaged in a scoreless pitchers' duel with Cal Quantrill through five innings, but Perez ran out of gas in the sixth. He exited after 88 pitches (61 strikes), coming up two outs short of his fourth quality start of the season. Perez will take a 3.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB through 40 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Angels. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Exits with blurred vision
Bailey was removed from Friday's game against the Phillies due to blurred vision, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Bailey was struck in the face mask by a foul tip off the bat of Alec Bohm during the first inning of Friday's contest and was later replaced by Tom Murphy in the second frame. The Giants are still in the process of evaluating Bailey, but an update on his status may be available after the game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:38 pm

    • Patrick Bailey leaves game due to blurred vision
Patrick Bailey was pulled from Friday night’s ballgame against the Phillies due to blurred vision.

Advice: Bailey took a foul ball off the face mask during Alec Bohm’s at-bat in the first inning. He’ll presumably go through the full concussion protocol now just to make sure that everything checks out alright. It’s likely that the Giants will need to do some maneuvering on their roster to get an extra catcher in there on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:35 pm

    • Jacob Young pulled due to apparent injury Friday
Jacob Young was pulled from Friday’s showdown against the Blue Jays in the fifth inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: No word yet on what happened to the 24-year-old speedster, but he was replaced by Jesse Winker when the Nationals took the field to start the fifth inning. Prior to exiting, Young had been 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. Look for the team to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:06 pm

    • Patrick Bailey leaves game with apparent injury
Patrick Bailey was removed from Friday night’s battle against the Phillies in the second inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: It’s not immediately clear what happened, but Bailey took a hard foul ball off of his face mask during the first inning and it could be related. Expect the Giants to provide an update on his status as soon as one becomes available. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:58 pm
