    • Crushes grand slam in win
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Hernandez jumped on a hanging slider after being down 1-2 in the count with two outs in the sixth and sent it over the wall in left field for a grand slam, putting the Dodgers up 5-0. It marked the outfielder's 11th home run of the season and the fifth in his last eight games. He's now tied with Salvador Perez, Jose Ramirez and Juan Soto for second in the majors with 33 RBI on the season. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Teoscar Hernández hits grand slam to beat Padres
Teoscar Hernández slugged a grand slam on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 5-0 victory over the Padres.

Advice: Hernández continues to make a significant impact in his Los Angeles debut. The 31-year-old lefty-mashing corner outfielder gave the Dodgers a commanding five-run advantage in the sixth inning by taking Padres reliever Enyel De Los Santos deep to left field for his 11th round-tripper of the season. He’s never going to be a standout in the batting average department at this stage of his career, but he’s continuing to hit for a ton of power and has been a run-producing machine in the heart of the Dodgers’ loaded lineup. • Triston McKenzie goes 6 2/3 in loss to White Sox
Triston McKenzie was charged with two runs over 6 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: McKenzie, who it’s worth noting is pitching through torn ligament in his right elbow, got into trouble early when he allowed a pair of runs in the second inning, which were enough to eventually saddle him with a loss. He struck out five and also handed out a trio of free passes. The 26-year-old righty has shown some signs of improvement following a dreadful stretch to open the year, even if he’s not racking up a ton of strikeouts, allowing two earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts since April 19. He’ll bring a serviceable 3.54 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 35/24 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a home matchup on Friday against the Twins. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 am
    • Posts another strong start
McKenzie (2-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 6.2 innings.

Advice: McKenzie was tagged for two runs (one of which was unearned) in the second inning but otherwise kept Chicago off the scoreboard in his second-longest outing of the season. Cleveland was able to give the right-hander only one run of support, however, resulting in his third loss of the season. McKenzie began the campaign by giving up 11 runs (nine earned) over his initial 13 innings, but he's yielded just seven earned runs across 27.2 frames since to lower his ERA to a respectable 3.54. • Early exit in no-decision
Gausman escaped with a no-decision in Saturday's 10-8 win over the Twins, coughing up seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander had given up only two earned runs across his prior four starts, but Gausman's luck deserted him Saturday as Minnesota scored three times in the first inning on some soft singles and shoddy defense, and the adjustments he tried to make in the next two frames only made matters worse. The Jays were able to rally late to take Gausman off the hook for his fourth loss, however. He'll carry a 4.95 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 37:10 K:BB through 36.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Rays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:36 pm

    • Denies combined no-hit bid
Martinez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Three Atlanta pitchers combined to no-hit New York over 8.2 innings before Martinez slugged a solo shot off Raisel Iglesias to end the bid at history. The long ball was Martinez's first as a Met in his 48th plate appearance. Though his power didn't emerge until Saturday, Martinez has put up a steady .267/.313/.378 slash line through 14 games. • Anthony Volpe plates two runs in loss to Rays
Anthony Volpe went 3-for-4 and drove in both of the Yankees’ runs in Saturday’s loss to the Rays.

Advice: Volpe smacked a two-run single off of Zack Littell in the second inning that gave the Yankees a 2-1 advantage. That would wind up being the extent of their offensive output though. He also singled with two outs in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but the Yankees couldn’t cash him in. Volpe got his third knock off of Jason Adam in the seventh. With his three-hit attack, the 23-year-old shortstop is now hitting .268/.354/.408 with five homers, 20 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Ketel Marte hits two-run homer vs. Orioles
Ketel Marte hit a two-run homer against the Orioles on Saturday in an extra-innings loss.

Advice: Marte hit a two-run homer off John Means in the third. That’s the ninth homer of the season for the 30-year-old veteran, and he’s plated 21 runs over the first six weeks of the season. Marte has slowed down slightly, but a .294/.345/.550 slash is nothing to sneeze at. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:20 pm

    • J.D. Martinez breaks up no-hitter with solo homer
J.D. Martinez hit a solo homer in the ninth in a loss to Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: It didn’t really impact the result of the game, but Martinez saved the Mets some embarrassment with his homer, as it prevented the team from being no-hit. He waited until the last moment to do so, as it came with two outs in the ninth off Raisel Iglesias. It’s the first homer of the season for Martinez, and the first as a member of the Mets.
