    • Giants place Michael Conforto (hamstring) on IL
Giants placed OF Michael Conforto on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 31-year-old slugger sustained the injury as he was rounding first base during Saturday’s game against the Reds. No word yet on how long exactly he’ll be sidelined for. Luis Matos was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move to provide depth in the Giants’ outfield while Conforto is shelved. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Bailey Ober strikes out 10 in gem versus Jays
Bailey Ober pitched one-hit ball for 6 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out 10 as the Twins defeated the Blue Jays 5-1 on Sunday.

Advice: It’s his second career 10-strikeout game, with the other coming against the White Sox in Sept. 2022. Ober opened this season with the very worst outing of his career, but since that eight-run barrage, he has a 2.16 ERA and a 44/7 K/BB ratio in 41 2/3 innings. He’s not quite this good, but he should remain an excellent fantasy starter going forward. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago
    • Lands on IL with hamstring strain
The Giants placed Conforto on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: After Conforto left in the fourth inning of Saturday's win against the Reds, the hope was that the right hamstring strain was mild enough for the 31-year-old to be considered day-to-day. The MRI on Sunday revealed a more severe strain, and Conforto will be sidelined until at least May 22. In a corresponding move, the Giants recalled Luis Matos from Triple-A Sacremento. Cal Raleigh is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: The man they call Big Dumper will get a day of rest for Sunday’s series finale against the Athletics. Seby Zavala will get the start behind the plate. The Mariners are going with their right-heavy lineup against southpaw Alex Wood, so Luis Urias is in for Josh Rojas, and Sam Haggerty is in for Luke Raley. Rotoworld Today, 11:53 am

Michael Conforto (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds.

    • Not starting Sunday
Conforto (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Conforto left in the bottom of the fourth inning in Saturday's 5-1 win, and Giants manager Bob Melvin described the right hamstring strain as "mild," per John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle. With Conforto out of the lineup Sunday, Heliot Ramos will start in left field while Patrick Bailey serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 10:54 am

    • Sitting against southpaw
Smith is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Rockies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Smith went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Saturday's 8-3 loss. He will begin Sunday's contest on the bench as the Rockies send out southpaw Ty Blach. Ezequiel Duran will fill in for Smith at third base. Rotowire.com Today, 10:19 am

    • Belts another homer Saturday
Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Raleigh's 387-foot shot to right center in the second inning served as the first run of the night for either side and also made him the first AL catcher to hit 10 or more homers in his team's first 40 games since 2003. The slugging backstop has cleared the fences four times in the last eight games alone, and he's reached safely on seven occasions overall during that entire span. Rotowire.com Today, 8:46 am
