Finnegan has successfully converted each of his last nine save attempts and hasn't allowed a hit over his last eight appearances (spanning eight innings), posting a 9:1 K:BB over that stretch.       Advice: It never seems to come easy for Finnegan, who also walked a hitter on Sunday and threw just 56 percent of his pitches for strikes. However, the Marlins weren’t able to mount much of a challenge and he now has a 2.19 ERA to go along with nine saves.       Yates earned a save after he pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out a batter in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

      Advice: Yates was called upon to protect the team's 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning, working around a pair of baserunners to secure his fifth save of the season. The right-hander has now gone 5-for-5 in save opportunities this season while he has pitched 12 scoreless frames over his first 11 appearances in 2024.       Advice: It didn't look like the closer's services would be necessary when the Reds took an 8-0 lead into the ninth inning, but Brent Suter served up back-to-back homers to Davis Wendzel and Corey Seager, and Diaz had to enter the game with one out and the tying run on deck. He was up to the task, needing seven pitches (five strikes) to get the final two outs. While his velocity remains down -- his fastball topped out at 94.0 mph Saturday -- Diaz is still getting results, converting six of seven save chances this season with a 3.27 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB through 11 innings.       Advice: The Reds entered the inning with an eight-run lead over the Rangers. Brent Suter nearly let it get away from them, allowing four runs in the frame. Díaz would come in with one out, two runners on, and the tying run on deck. He induced a quick pop out and a groundout to end the game with his sixth save of the season.       Advice: He needed only six pitches, all strikes, to dispatch the middle of Miami's order. Finnegan hasn't allowed an earned run yet in April, converting all seven of his save chances on the month with a 9:4 K:BB through 9.2 innings. Hunter Harvey, who collected his eighth hold Friday with a clean eighth inning, has been more dominant to begin the season and has a 19:2 K:BB through 13 innings.
