      Carroll will rejoin the Diamondbacks in Washington for the start of their series against the Nationals on Tuesday after he underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed no significant damage to his left side, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks ordered up the MRI for Carroll after he experienced a "pull feeling" while making a throw in the seventh inning of Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox. He left the game shortly thereafter, though he was in positive spirits when describing his injury after the game. The MRI seems to have validated Carroll's optimism, and though he looks set to avoid a stint on the injured list and will rejoin the team, the Diamondbacks could still hold him out of the lineup for Tuesday's series opener if he's still dealing with some discomfort. Fantasy managers in leagues with weekly lineup decisions will likely want to keep close tabs on Carroll's status leading up to the 6:45 p.m. ET start time of Tuesday's contest.       According to Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro, Corbin Carroll’s MRI came back clean and he could start on Tuesday against the Nationals.



      Advice: Carroll had an MRI on Monday morning that “did not reveal significant damage to his left side.” The 23-year-old left Sunday’s game following a “pulling feeling” the 23-year-old felt while making a throw in the seventh inning. He is now headed to Washington to be with his teammates and “it is possible he will be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday night.” Diamondbacks fans and fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief.

      Tovar went 0-for-4 Sunday against the Pirates.

      Advice: Tovar went hitless for the first time in his last eight starts, and in that span, he hit .393 with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored. That stretch helped him continue to build on an impressive breakout season, as he's hitting .290 with a .809 OPS to go along with 11 homers and four stolen bases across 70 contests.       Advice: Atlanta rallied from a 6-2 deficit to tie the game in the eighth inning, but Iglesias served up a two-run homer to Jose Siri to squander the comeback. It's only the second long ball the veteran closer has allowed this season in 26.2 innings, and Iglesias sports a 2.70 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB while converting 18 of 20 save chances.       Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.

      Advice: He’ll undergo a precautionary MRI exam in Arizona on Monday before traveling to join the team in Washington. Carroll said he felt much better after Sunday’s game though, and is optimistic that he won’t have to miss any time. We’ll have to wait and see what Monday’s imaging yields.
