    • Starts at DH in return
Langford served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-3 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Arizona.

Advice: Langford was activated from the 10-day injured list and played for the first time since May 4. His activation to the roster came at the expense of left fielder Evan Carter (back), but Langford was eased in as the DH while Travis Jankowski handled left field. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • José Abreu goes 0-for-3, strikes out twice
José Abreu went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Tuesday in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: We’d understand the Astros giving Abreu one more shot at Jon Singleton’s expense, and we’d understand setting up a platoon that sees Singleton play versus righties and Abreu against lefties. What we can’t understand is playing both guys, when it means putting both Chas McCormick and Mauricio Dubón on the bench and taking a defensive downgrade with Yordan Alvarez in left field (and increasing the injury risk for Alvarez). Still, that’s exactly what the Astros have done in both games since Abreu returned from exile. It’s a bad strategy, and the team has paid the price the last two days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:00 pm

    • Tim Anderson goes 0-for-3 in loss to Padres
Tim Anderson went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson probably cost the Marlins the game on defense Monday, and he’s on the short list of the game’s worst hitters at .199/.235/.219 this season. A batting champ in 2019 and an All-Star in both 2021 and ’22, it’s hard to understand why he looks so finished now at age 30. Still, he’s turned into such a liability that he should not be in the major leagues at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
    • Back from injured list
The Rangers activated Langford (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 22-year-old has been on the shelf more than three weeks due to a hamstring injury but will rejoin the Rangers after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock. Langford was struggling offensively before going on the injured list, as he was in the midst of a 3-for-28 slump. Evan Carter (back) was moved to the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. • Top prospect Wyatt Langford returns Tuesday
Rangers activated OF Wyatt Langford from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Langford will make his highly-anticipated return for Tuesday’s showdown against Arizona on the heels of a three-week absence recovering from a right hamstring strain. The 22-year-old top prospect hasn’t exactly set the fantasy landscape ablaze following a sizzling-hot spring training performance, batting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one steal in 129 plate appearances over 31 contests. Given his immense raw talent, it certainly feels like only a matter of time before he heats up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:13 pm

    • Set for another rehab outing
Miller (shoulder) will make his next minor-league rehab start Friday or Saturday and is scheduled to throw about four innings, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Miller allowed three runs and threw 55 pitches over three frames in his first rehab outing Sunday with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, and it's no surprise he'll require at least one more appearance in the minors before rejoining the Dodgers. The 24-year-old could be back in the big-league rotation as early as next week, but it's also possible he'll require a third rehab outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:39 pm

    • Kodai Senga plays catch on field Tuesday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break. • Starling Marte sitting first game of doubleheader
Starling Marte is not in the lineup for the first game of a doubleheader versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Marte will get the first game of the twin-billing off. While he sits, the Mets will have Tyrone Taylor handle center field with DJ Stewart in right field. Harrison Bader is also out of the lineup for the first game against Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 am
