    • William Contreras picks up three hits in easy win
      William Contreras picked up three hits and drove in a run in a win Friday over the White Sox.

      Advice: Contreras, 26, also scored twice. The Brewers were able to reach 23 times via hit and six times on walks, and somewhat amazingly none of those hits went over the fence.       Contreras went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Contreras has been held hitless just five times over 26 games in May, going 31-for-104 (.298) for the month. The catcher is up to a .323/.394/.509 slash line with eight home runs, four steals, 43 RBI, 45 runs scored, 15 doubles and a triple in 55 contests, so this month has actually been a bit of a cooling off compared to how he started the season.       William Contreras went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk as the Brewers bested the Red Sox 7-2 on Friday.

      Advice: Contreras has been the NL’s third-best player to date — and top non-Dodger — while batting .337/.412/.538. If this keeps up, he ought to be treated better in the MVP balloting this time around.
