    Nick Gonzales went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, four RBI, and run scored in a win against the Braves on Friday.

    Advice: Gonzales has been an RBI machine with 13 in 13 starts since being called up on May 10th along with five extra-base hits. His batted ball metrics match the power output thus far despite his lack of plate discipline.     Advice: Lopez will stick in the lineup for the 11th game in a row, with his starting assignments Tuesday and Wednesday being especially notable in light of Tim Anderson's return from the injured list earlier in the week. Vidal Brujan has been on the bench for both games since Anderson stepped back in as the Marlins' everyday shortstop, signaling that manager Skip Schumaker is content to stick with Lopez at the keystone while the 25-year-old is wielding a hot bat.     Advice: Berti finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row after he had started at third base in each of the preceding three games while going 3-for-9 with a home run and two walks. While he might not have eclipsed Oswaldo Cabrera on the depth chart just yet, Berti has been poaching more work of late from Cabrera, who has mustered an underwhelming .626 OPS since the beginning of May. Both Berti and Cabrera will likely see their playing time suffer when DJ LeMahieu (foot) -- who is currently in the midst of a rehab assignment -- likely returns from the 10-day injured list next week.     Steer (ankle) will start at first base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Padres.

    Advice: Steer didn't start in either of the last two games while managing a sore ankle, though he felt well enough to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers. Monday's team off day plus an absence from the lineup in Tuesday's 2-0 win over San Diego appears to have provided sufficient time for Steer to move past the ankle issue. He'll likely continue to see the bulk of his starts at first base rather than in the corner outfield for the duration of Christian Encarnacion-Strand's (wrist) stint on the injured list.     Advice: His second single of the night was clutch, as Gonzalez smacked a single up the middle on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the 10th to bring home Michael Taylor as the phantom runner. Gonzalez took a while to adjust to the pros after being selected seventh overall in the 2020 Draft, but the 24-year-old seems to be coming into his own -- after erupting for a 1.039 OPS in 30 games for Triple-A Indianapolis prior to his promotion, he's produced a .282/.310/.462 slash line in 11 contests for Pittsburgh with two homers, one steal, five runs and nine RBI. He's now tallied at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, which includes 13 hits and a .371 average over his last eight games. He's regularly been hitting first or second since coming back from the injured list last week and is now slashing ,316/.366/.474 with three homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs and an 8:18 BB:K in 124 plate appearances.   • Remains in game after injury
    India suffered a left shin injury during Tuesday's win over the Padres but remained in game, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. He went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

    Advice: India was hurt when he got tangled up with San Diego catcher Luis Campusano while scoring on a sacrifice fly to left. India was noticeably grabbing the shin and limped off the field but was able to finish the game.
