    • Breaks out of short slump
Jones went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Jones entered Saturday's game having collected just one hit across his last 15 at-bats. He ended that short slump with a two-run homer in the fifth inning, and his second since returning from the injured list June 14. Jones is still working on finding his rhythm this season after missing around six weeks due to knee and back injuries, but he is now hitting .250 since being activated. • Hits leadoff homer Saturday
Abrams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, two total runs and two total RBI in an 8-1 win against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams didn't wait long to make his presence felt, swatting a 396-foot homer to lead off the contest. It was the 13th long ball of the campaign for the shortstop, and he's well on pace to surpass the 18 home runs he hit during his first full big-league season last year. Abrams hasn't been as successful as a runner this season -- he's just 13-for-22 in stolen-base attempts after going 47-for-51 in 2023 -- but he's otherwise shown growth in nearly every offensive category, slashing .278/.334/.498 with 20 doubles, five triples, 50 runs and 42 RBI through 328 plate appearances. • Fans nine in quality start
Nola (9-4) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on six hits over 6.2 innings in a 3-2 loss to the Marlins. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

Advice: The veteran right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and 12th of the season on 100 pitches (71 strikes), but Nola let a win slip through his fingers when he served up back-to-back doubles with two outs in the seventh inning, with both coming around to score the final runs of the game. Nola took his first loss since May 8, and he'll carry a 3.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 99:25 K:BB through 107.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Atlanta. • Notches 12th save
Scott struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 12th save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Phillies.

Advice: The southpaw delivered his eighth straight scoreless appearance on 12 pitches (eight strikes), and Scott has racked up four saves in four trips to the mound over the last week. The 29-year-old closer has put his shaky start to 2024 firmly behind him, and he sports a 1.50 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 38:23 K:BB through 36 innings while converting 12 of 14 save chances. • Grabs 11th save
Sewald struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Sewald has picked up saves in four straight appearances and in seven of his 10 outings in June. The closer has been virtually untouchable this month, allowing two hits, two walks and two hit batsmen while striking out six over 8.2 innings. He's a perfect 11-for-11 in save chances with a 0.57 ERA, 0.51 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB across 15.2 innings overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:28 pm

    • Continues hot streak in win
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Guerrero opened the scoring with a two-run home run off Nestor Cortes in the first inning. He added a three-run double in the eighth and an RBI single in the eighth to finish the day with a whopping six RBI. The first baseman is scorching, homering for the third straight contest and recording his sixth consecutive multi-hit effort. Over those six games, he has driven in a ridiculous 19 runs and is now hitting .296 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 40 runs scored in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:16 pm
    • Ramirez blasts 23rd home run in win Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a double, a solo home run and two RBI against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez’ home run was his 23rd of the season. He had an RBI double in the fifth inning to give the Guardians a 4-2 lead. He scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI double to make it 5-2 and his home run in the seventh inning made it 7-2. Ramirez is hitting .280 with an .890 OPS and 75 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:05 pm
    • Ragans allows five runs in loss Saturday
Cole Ragans allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Ragans gave up six hits, walked one and struck out six. This start broke a streak of five consecutive quality starts for Ragans. He has a 3.33 ERA and 3.11 xFIP on the year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Rockies on the road next week.

    • Jarren Duran swats homer in blowout defeat
Jarren Duran hit a solo homer in a blowout loss to the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Duran took Michael King deep in what ended up being the only run of the game for the Red Sox in the sixth inning. It also came with Boston trailing 10-0, but still counts just the same. Duran has been nothing short of spectacular in June with a .366/.420/.594 slash, and he’s now up to eight homers and 38 RBI to go along with his 20 stolen bases across the 2024 campaign.
